Full knee surgery.
Just been told I require a full l knee replacement. I am 56 and not sure of what is ahead? I'm in constant pain, no flare ups. Advice on fellow sufferers post op would be appreciated.

Now I always like to post people this thread (it's an oldie but a goody)
It was a lengthy thread (I don't think you can post on it but you can read it) and other who had had knees done joined in so well worth a read.

Hi, I had my TKR 10 weeks ago now. The pain is very manageable and surgeon and physio say I am doing really Well, good range of movement etc. I am not as young as you but still relatively young for TKR. The bit I'm finding hard is my lack of stamina. I guess having been in a lot of pain for two years pre op my fitness wasn't good so I started from a fairly low point. Dreading going to back to work as exhausted really easily. Lots of other bits of me seem to hurt! However, I would say don't be scared of pain post op...its ok. I dont k ow if that helps.
