Knee keeps ‘giving way’
I have osteoarthritis of the knee and I’m on the list for a knee replacement op (likely to be at least 8 months away). In recent weeks my knee has started giving way as I walk, making walking difficult. I’m doing knee exercises but so far they haven’t helped with this issue. I’ve also tried a knee support strap, but that only works if it’s so tight that I can’t bend my knee - or walk! I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and has any recommendations for how to deal with it - or specific exercises that have helped. Thanks.

Hi CaroleL
I sympathise with you as I have suffered with this, before being diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in my right knee.
I can only suggest that perhaps you can contact your physiotherapist and see if they can help, perhaps change your exercises?
Have you looked on here to see if there are any different exercises you can do that may help?
Hopefully there may also be other people on here who may have some information that can help you.
Take care and let us know how you get on.🙂
