Muscle wastage
Hi. I have arthritis in both knees & waiting for my right one to be replaced. I can’t walk very much or do much at all & I’m noticing muscle wastage in my right calf & thigh. Does anyone know of anything I can do that would build the muscle again? Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

It's really important for us to exercise both before and after a TKR to help it 'bed in' and work more quickly and we do lose muscle very easily when we don't. Try the knee exercises here https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/exercising-with-arthritis/exercises-for-healthy-joints/exercises-for-the-knees/ Start slowly, gently and with very few repetitions. Build up slowly and gradually and good luck😀
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Exercise is the only thing. Do what you can and remember the Tesco advert tag line.
