New to arthritis
Hi & thanks for accepting me. I've just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips, knees & hands. I'm sure I have it in my neck & elbows too, but I didn't get around to mentioning them when I went to the doctor's. I have to wait 2 weeks now for an appointment to discuss treatment. In the meantime I'm taking paracetamol & ibruprofen as needed to help with the pain. I struggle with pain in bed in my legs & wondered if anyone else has the same & how do you relieve it? All suggestions welcomed, thanks.

Hello @JanG welcome to the online community
You have just been diagnosed with OA in your hips, knees and hands and possibly in your neck and elbows. You are asking for tips about pain in your legs in bed. We are here to support you and our members have had numerous discussions about "what works for them" when faced with similar situations. I attach a few links which I hope you will find helpful

Some of our members use heat/cool pads to help with pain in bed, extra pillows for support, whilst others have changed their sleep patterns to avoid lying for long periods. The "Living with Arthritis" section carries a variety of posts which you might find interesting.
Meanwhile I hope that your discussion about treatment will give you greater peace of mind and a path forward to a less painful future . Do let us know how you get on.
Take care

Hello @Roxyco welcome to the online community,
Thank you for your posts this morning, you have have had arthritis for years and now have been diagnosed with PSA but without all the visible symptoms. As you say you have lived in your body for quite a long time now and you are as unique in your response to this disease as we all are. You are hoping that the treatment of otezla will help relieve you of some of your symptoms.
I attach the Versus arthritis information about Psoriatic Arthritis
I have also attached a long thread from members who have recently been diagnosed with PSA and I hope you find this interesting . Do let us know how you get on with the medication, we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care
