New Medication

Hello Everyone,

I have RA and am currently on Tocilizumab Injection & Naproxen. It helps a little but obviously with the condition I have my good and bad flare up days. I've hurt my wrist as my joints are weak, after seeing the specialist on Monday they inform me that the end of my bones are eroding. They have suggested I try this New Medication called Jax inhibitor. Has anyone else been offered this or is anyone tried it and its helped?

Thanks,

Dawn 😊

    Hi @Rainbowdivauk ,

I have RA but I'm not on a Jak inhibitor. This isn't one drug but a whole class of newer ones which are supposed to be very good for RA. My view would be that, yes, all new meds are a bit scary but, if your rheumatologist thinks you should be on it when there are other, cheaper meds available, (s)he must have a good reason. Personally, I'd go for it.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
