Adalimumab and Psoriasis
My knee replacement was cancelled on the day of the operation last month due to a flare up of Psoriasis on my legs and feet and the surgeon was worried about infection.
After a dermatology appointment last week the suspicion is that this was most likely caused by the bi-weekly Adalimumab injections I have been taking for my Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Anyone else had any issues with Adalimumab as this is quite common apparently?

I've not had the issues you’ve had. My psoriasis has actually disappeared since I’ve been on my Sulfasalazine/MTX/adalimumab cocktail. It had been reducing over the previous 15 years - I’ve had it for 50 years - before I was diagnosed with PsA, but it was persistent in my ears. It’s completely gone now - though it may well be coincidence.

Hi,
I had this issue and have now been diagnosed as PSA, never had psoriasis before, unfortunately it is a relatively common side effect of biologicals, which is a shame as I was arthritis free for 2 1/2 years while injecting and now it’s worse than ever.
