Morning @Pool10
An outdated slightly inaccurate term for Osteoarthritis 'wear and tear' honestly.
Physio is a good idea though.
When the helpline see this I'm sure they'll have loads of useful advice for you.
Take care

Hi@Pool10
Thanks for your post to the Helpline. I'm sorry to hear about the pain in your joints that you've experienced.
If you search the letter O for Osteoarthritis in Conditions, you can look up the Osteoarthritis information for any joints affected - see Osteoarthritis in the knee, or hip, or hand and wrist, spine etc.

As Toni mentioned, referral to a physiotherapist is a great idea. And we've produced really clear videos about exercise, just look at YouTube Versus Arthritis.
Getting into a daily routine involving gentle exercise can take a bit of time and if you have any concerns about pain or discomfort, do speak to the physio (and ring us here on 0800 5200 520.)

Along with keeping moving it's recommended that we've got to do our best to eat a balanced diet to keep weight down. As the holidays are approaching, healthy eating is particularly important.

I hope that's helpful
All the best
