Pips report

Hi all,

I had my PIPs telephone assessment on Friday (8th) bit nerve wracking but not terrible, some weird questions 😅

They confirmed they'd come back with an outcome hopefully in 8 weeks or sooner.

My question is, I've read online you can request a copy of the report from the assessment before it goes to DWP for the final decision and that they normally follow the recommendations from the report.

Would anyone recommend getting a copy of the report now (i think you get it when you get the decision anyway) or does it make the waiting worse lol

    Hi @Ajagpd

I'm no expert on PIPs but my advice would always be get a copy of the report now because that gives you time to consider it and question it if necessary.

Hopefully other members of the group who have had personal experience will be able to advise.

You may also be able to get some advice from

     Citizens Advice or Turn2Us.

    Hope this helps

Hi. I just got awarded pip. I had my interview (2 hours) on a Monday. I called them on the Thursday with some extra info, I was going to ask for a copy of the assesment as well but they told me on the phone they had already made a decision. The official letter arrived a week later with the assesment. If you are stiil waiting I would deffo ask for the assesment. This gives you time to prepare for a mandatory reconsideration if you need to or if like me you get an award at least its a relief its over.
