wrist fusion surgery
Hi I am new to the forum. I had surgery 20 years ago to remove a giant cell tumor from my wrist. This left reduced ROM and pain which has been largely manageable until about 7 months ago. I've had a steroid injection which did nothing so I am now looking at fusion. This will be my non dominant hand. I am very nervous about the possibility of the fusion but understand that I cannot continue with the level of pain and loss of function. I am 51 and still work full time
What are people's experience of such surgery and is there anything that I need to be asking the consultant about at my appointment? I have a huge list about surgery time, aftercare, etc but any tips would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Hi @galewicks , Welcome to the online community. It's great to have you here! I am sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing. Hopefully, someone with more firsthand experience with wrist fusions will come along to give their two cents, but in the meantime, I will attach some links that you may find helpful.
