Hi 👋

I was diagnosed a couple of months ago and put on meloxicam. It’s helping with the pain but I am so wiped out all the time.
my question is can I expect to be fatigue free again or is it just something I have to live with?

Thanks

hi @coogirl13 , first of all welcome to the online community, it’s great to have you here!

I’m sorry you’ve been suffering from fatigue quite a bit, I’ll attach a link that you may want to have a wee look at. Also, it is important to remember that everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. However, I will say that I’m about 5 years in and still haven’t gotten over the fatigue, which goes to show that there will be people who understand what you’re going through.

I hope things improve for you!

    Hi there

Just thought I’d comment - I think my fatigue / flare up is caused by something. For me that’s stress, or stressful thinking, and foods.

For example I ate something this weekend that had MSG in it. I’m usually very cautions (now) about what I eat and have felt so much better after excluding food groups (gluten, artificial sweetener, deadly nightshade veg) however this weekend the fatigue hit me like a train. I was wiped out. Looking back at what I had eaten - I found something I had consumed had msg. I then Google MSG and Rheumatoid Arthritis and there are pages of articles talking about how that causes inflammation.

My disclaimer is that I do take a biologic medication for my Psoriatic Arthritis- so it could all just be some coincidence - but I think the gut and inflammation + fatigue are all connected.

If this interests you check out the Netflix documentary Hack your health and look up anti inflammatory recipe books online.

Hope this helps - the fatigue can be very difficult.

P.s I think hydration helps - but like @annabanana says it is all very personal

This is super interesting. I am going to keep a food diary and see if I can see some patterns.
