  • Hello @Daglo1956

Thank you for posting on Chat to Helpline regarding Prolozone Therapy.

Unfortunately this isn't a treatment that we can recommend or endorse as there isn't the evidence to show the effectiveness in treating arthritis of the hip, however, if the pain doesn’t improve with simple medications such as paracetamol and ibuprofen, and a mixture of rest and gentle exercises, your GP can recommend treatments such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, podiatry or steroids before looking at surgery. Flexiseq can help with pain and stiffness as can hot water bottles, wheat bags or other heat therapies.

You are welcome to call our Free Helpline on 0800 5200 520, 9am-6pm weekdays, if you would like to talk things through informally and in confidence.

You are also welcome to post on our Living with arthritis - Versus Arthritis forum if you haven't done so already. This is a positive and supportive space where you may receive more responses to your post.

Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.

    Best wishes,
