I have researched the best electric food choppers for the past few days because I need one for quicker meal prep. I read reviews on The New York Times, Consumer Reports, and Good Housekeeping, and they are recommending these two as the best:

  • KitchenAid food chooper [….]
  • Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap Food Processor [….]

However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs and would appreciate your expert advice. In my kitchen, I mostly chop onions, garlic, herbs, and make small batches of dips and sauces.

Which one would you recommend, or do you have any other suggestions? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi @johnwin1 , welcome to the online community! It’s great to have you here.

I can’t advise on an electric food chopper, however I do have a manual one which you use by hitting down on it and it has made food preparation exponentially easier. The only issue with mine is that it can be quite difficult to hit it hard enough to chop food (such as onions) on higher pain days - so I would imagine an electric one would make the process even easier! I may have to look into getting one myself.

Hopefully someone who owns an electric food chopper will hop on here and give their opinions on any models/brand they’ve tried :)

Not sure if this is allowed, so apologies if it's not.

I've been struggling with using a grater so after some research I bought an electric one. It also slices but I haven't tried that tool yet. It can be a bit fiddly to start with but I've managed to get used to it now.

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you're looking for?
