Starting new meds and petrified

Hi everyone, I hope today is a good day. I'm newly diagnosed and have been prescribed hydroxychloroquine. I don't know much about it, my consultant just sent a script to pharmacy. Thing is I'm petrified to start it. I'm looking for other people to tell me if they are ok on this medicine. I was fine before coming to live at Skegness 6 months ago and the humidity is high, does this affect anyone else. When I move inland my symptoms are much reduced. TIA 😁

When you start a new medication it is always a bit scary and can understand why you want more information before you start forwarned is to be forarmed as others say,

i myself have never taken Hydroxychloroquine.Here is a discription of the medication

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE is a desease modifying anti-rheumatic drug DMARD,It works by blocking the effects of the chemicals released when your immune system attacks your body.

it is used to treat inflammatory conditions such as rhuemetoid arthritis,it reduces swelling pain and stiffness in joints.it may take several weeks before you notice an improvement in your condition.
