Knee surgery
Having total knee replacement on right knee in Oct/Nov. Consultant has written on my notes after seeing me that my legs are deformed. This description is a bit unpleasant to read. Have others had this descriptor used to describe their condition?

Hi @Mooo and welcome to the online community,
I can understand how you feel about reading your legs described as ‘deformed’. I felt the same when two consultants were discussing my hands and one said ‘ she has typical deformity associated with rheumatoid arthritis’. I know it’s a medical term that describes a change in the natural form of a body part, but, as you say, it can be quite unpleasant to read, or hear.
It will be interesting to hear if any other members have had their legs described in this way.
