Change of Workplace - Where do I stand?
Hoping for some advice. The company that I work for (which is very small) used to be in a building on the second floor but had a lift, so I managed ok. As of Monday this week, we have moved to new premises whereby the office is up a large flight of stairs and there is no lift. The toilets/kitchen/break area are all downstairs. It's only day 4 of being here and I am already really struggling and in a lot of pain, to the point that I am avoiding going downstairs to make drinks etc and only going if I absolutely need to i.e. for the toilet.
My employer is aware of my Osteoarthritis which clearly wasn't taken into account when picking a new premises. They won't let me work from home. Again, as it's a very small company, I can't even ask for an occupational health referral because it's not something that exists here.
Does anyone know wherer I stand with this? Are they obliged to offer me more support?
