Hopefully it will give you a better idea of what's what - I don't think it's odd to feel excited about that: knowledge is power!! Hope all goes well for you - let us know how it goes. Best wishes, Josie

    Hi Bailey

In a word no! Why shouldn't you be excited? Much better than being filled with dread, any day.

It will be a breeze. I have had three.

    Wishing you well,

    Luv
    Elna

    H Bailey,

It's good your excited and sometimes they work really well. I had mine done when I was 20 and so far except for a lot of jabs and a bit of fluid taken off they have held up really well.

Good luck and take care, Cris

    Hi Bailey
Good luck for your arthroscopy. I had it last Dec. and although I didn't think it had benefitted me at first, now I am much better than before the op. Take it easy afterwards, and rest as much as you can. I think I overdid things because I thought it was only a minor operation, and I set myself back a bit. However, you must do the exercises they show you. The actual op. was no trouble. I had a local anaesthetic, but didn't know a thing because I was given a sedative which must have knocked me out.

    All the best

oh god no I was really excited before mine as I had to fight to get a tkr (I was bone on bone and initially told I would have to wait 15 years!) anyhoo I was glad that the ball was rolling. However, as a day out I have had better! lol

    Great news Bailey!

Not odd to be excited - if you're anything like me you'll go through a variety of emotions before Thursday!

Just a word based on experience - don't be worried if your knee feels worse before it feels better - I've had 2 arthroscopies, both were very successful from a diagnosis point of view and eventual pain relief, but it took a while.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Looking forward to getting some answers and am hoping I'll soon start to see some good results.
Thanks for all your support. I find it quite therapeutic coming on here!

    Hi Bailey,

They will examine you and then decide whats best to be done. sometimes it is there and then in terms of treatment and sometimes yo have to wait for tests to come back. What ever its the best thing for you just now. I hope it all goes well on Thursday as well. take care, Cris

I had my first Rheumatology appointment today and was diagnosed with Inflammatory Arthritis. I dont have RA. When I went for blood tests on the form one said I had Spondo somehting or other and the other SPA. Thanks for the advice I received on another post I have figured out that I have some form of Spondoarthropathy. I have been given different medication which I am excited to try.
Forgot to mention my doctor was absolutely wonderful today, she took plent yof time to talk to me and explain things.
I feel fab even though my back is in knots today I feel I am getting there slowly but surely!
Knee op thursday now - bring it on!!!

    Hi Terry

I had to be there at 7.30 too, but then discovered that lots of us had been told to get there at that time. My op. wasn't going to be until later in the morning, but then suddenly they had to cancel someone else's op, so slotted me in. Within minutes, they had me ready, and it was action stations. I was glad that I didn't have to wait too long. I hope you won't have long to wait either.

Hi I'm brand new to this site, had the same op last December and it found my extend of OA.

Uncomfortable for a few days but walking OK right after. Good luck and hope your OA is not too bad.

    Hi All,

My op was cancelled because of a rash on my knee. Very disappointed as I went to my GP with this and was told should not be a problem. Will now try and get back on list for op ASAP but feel this could be a month at least.

    Very down,
    Terry.
