Great news :):) Hope you are back on the road soon. Just in case your batteries have been damaged by all this they should replace them too. Hope they are OK though.

Is Hazel any better and hope Mike jnr is OK.

Hello Mike and Hazel and Mike JR.
I feel so sorry for you.
why dont you go on your local radio and tell them there might be a person listening who could help you. and the person you bought the scoota from might be listening.
it's not right how you've been treated.
    good luck. joan xx

    Hi Mike

Just caught up with your thread!

Well, thanks but no thanks to the firm in England aye? You would think they would have a rep in Northern Ireland, wouldn't you? Ridiculous waiting until the guarantee runs out. What a load of cobblers! Well, you got the better of them, didn't you and fixed it yourself. Good on you!

Watch out everyone, Mikes back on the road again! :D:D:D
    Great news,

    Luv
    Elna x

    Hi joan and sis,

I was able to go the grave of my mum and dad, missed that as I went every week . What a surrprise waited me when I got there for ,as I had asked for a ramp to enable me to get to my mums and dads grave as this was causing me great discomfort as the kerb leading upto it was very high, now I have I ramp ( dip in the path ) this is great now I can sit and look at the grave as standing was very painful, must phone the parks department up tomorrow and thank them.

    some people are so kind

Glad to hear you are on the road again, The sale of goods act states that if a product is less than 6 months old and develops a fault then they have to by law either replace with a brand new item with the same specifications or repair it. Also if they cant repair it or give you a replacement they have to refund you. This is because the consumer act sugests that if a brand new product develops a fault and fails within the first 6 months of ownership then its classed as a manufacturing defect.

Hope this helps anyone who may have a problem with any item they hae bought and feel they are getting the run around by manufactureres etc.

Just mention to them you have been intouch with consumer direct and you will find 9 times out of ten they will be very willing to sort the problem out
