I have been told unltrasound and mri has shown damage and wear and tear to tendons that wrap around outside of ankle and attach under foot ( the peroneals )
the physio has tried ice and cortisone injections
do any of the help team know what else can be tried ?
I have heard they sometimes inject fresh blood into the damaged areas as tendons take ages to heal because not much blood gets there ?

Dear Bluebeard, thank you for your posting.
Usual physiotherapy and cortisone injections can help treat pain and inflammation in the ankle; we have a good fact sheet called 'Osteoarthritis of the ankle' which may help with other ways to help manage your ankle:
http://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/PublicationsandResources/Listedbytype/Factsheets#cK45
Also our booklets on ‘Coping with pain’ and ‘Living with osteoarthritis’ may be helpful and you can access these at the following link:

We don’t have any information on this form of treatment I’m afraid, maybe you could ask the physiotherapist or GP about this?
Best wishes
