Afternoon Hileena
Glad that the scooter is helping you get around the house, even though reversing sounds a bit dodgy!
Thinking of you lots.

Hi Hileena,
Wow ingenious with the scooter we do, do a lot of lateral thinking on here. I do hope the dr visits early for you and you still have some ornaments and paintwork left. To be honest who cares both are replaceable you on the other hand you are not!
I don’t know how you have coped with all these weeks of pain.
Very gentle hugs,
Lv, I x0 -
Hi
Sorry I'm late getting on today....not been online much at all today.
Poppy......Tidying.....????? H=Well hiding might be more accurate
Things that where here there and everywhere.....{its avon day today} got picked up and put on a coffee table up at the side of a settee in a corner where they wern't noticeableA few other things like bits of make up that would normally stay upstairs......got dumped into an avon box unter a table...so that it was reasonably easy for me to get at.
Hi Stcky...hope you enjoyed yourself whatever you were doing today
Hi Rose
Thanks for the hugs and now that I'm using the scooter I can manage the toilet thanks.
We are a stubborn lot....I think we have to beto keep going.
It is making things easier having the scooter.
You are right Iris...we do a lot of lateral thinking....all you've got to do is read that firs thread to realise that {the one about making life simlper}
Believe it or not I havent hit pinwork or ornaments yet.....still plenty of thime though
I honestly dont know what to expect tomorrow or if they will be able to tell me anything more???? She is doing a home visit so that means after11am probably before 1pm...thats about all I know.
Thnks for all your messages......you are all really keeping my spirits up Thanks
Love

Morning weejean
Still feeling very sore this morning but all I have done is take my Oromorph and stagger to the loo and back again and have been sitting here waiting for it to take effect :???:
The doc is due sometime after 11am ...I would guess sometime between 11 and 1pm so hopefully I will find out a bit more.
The main thing that worries me is I'm really so sleepy......even at the computer ...my eyes start to close........shoudl I be as sleepy as this....I know its a strong drug and hopefully I wont be on it for very longbut??????? :???: :???: that is one of the things I want to ask her....should I accept this awful feeling and give in to it or should i fight it and try to stay away?? Sorry this wasnt really a question that I expected an answer to....just me getting it off my chest

Morning Hileena. I don't know how sleepy you should be either but I guess that's one for the doc later. Write it down in case you nod off and forget??? I hope it goes well. Let's know.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
Thanks Julie....Of course you cant answer that and I didnt expect an answer...I'm sorry...it was just me rambling

Good morning Hileena
I hope the doctor can help you and answer all your questions. My husband was given similar mediacation for back pain last year and he was also so very sleepy, I started to get very worried about his drowsiness and called my doctor but he said it was common for patients to feel like that. My husband soon improved and was able to stop taking the medication and was back to being his usual self in no time.
Sending you hugs

Hileena, just goin over the last couple of days post and thought, ah, the doctor is coming. How did you get on with him/her.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi
Well the doc came this afternoon.. She said that the last couple of blood tests that had just come through hadnt shown up anything out of the ordinary....so thats good.
She is pretty ceertain it is osteoporosis....so she is writing this afternoon to make an appointment for a Dexa Scan for me.
She is also changing the Oromorph....from5 lots of 5ml to 2 SlowRelease tablets a day.
As for the drowsieness she says dont forget you were on 2.5mls until Sat afternoon then when you rang the out of hours surgery they put you on 5mls....thats double the dose!!!!! She agreed that it should have been done but was pointing out why the drowsieness. She said after a few days or maybe a week the dowsieness will go.
It will take quite a few more weeks before it heals so all the more reason to get the pain level right so that I can cope with it.
I think thats all she said.....Oh yes....she said she would ring me next Wed to have a conversation with me and see howthings were going.

Hi Hileena
I hope that you felt the gp was doing all she could for you and that you have a few things ironed out now and feel more calm about your situation, although of course you could very well do without all this. So the pelvis fracture will heal on its own? That is good news then but do go careful won't you and try to rest and do what the gp said
I wonder how long you will have to wait for a scan. The most important thing at the moment is to get the pain under control and let the facture heal.
Thinking of you,
Hugs

Hi Hileena
Well she seems a nice doctor. Where you happy with what she said?
Maybe now you can start feeling better in yourself. I do hope so. Lets hope that the new slow release keep that pain under control.

Hi Hileena
I hope the new medication really helps you and you are happy with the visit from the doctor. Thinking of you

Hi Everyone,
Well I was happy enough with to docs visit.....if she could have waved a magic wand and taken away the pain I would have been happier
Yes apparently it will heal on its own....nothing can be done about it except get on top of the pain and wait....
Because it was a home visit Peter happened to be in the rom and he said to her ....she should rest shouldnt she? The doc said...once she gets on top of the pain and can move without a lot of pain she should be moving. That is what I was thinking {because of arthur} you know what its like...walk too much and you are sore or sit too much and you are sore so you've got to hit a happy medium. She said....she should be moving once she can because of DVT
The other thing I asked was would it do any harm on the scooter if it was a bit bumpy.....eg...Inside the Metro Center its flat but outside even if you are using drop down pavements it can be a bit bumpy....It does shake you a bit going up and down them but my concern was would it make the fracture any worse and she said no it wouldnt So as from tomorrow I'm on slow release morphine.....
Got to keep a note of how many I take and what time I take them at and then she wll ring me on Wed next week.
Love
Hileena0 -
Hi Hileena,
I am so glad your Dr came and visited you and that she listened to you, you do hear so many negative stories about bad Drs etc.
Good luck with the slow release morphine, I really hope that they do the job and you're not in pain, and that you heal quickly
Thinking of you, I think you're very brave, sending healing hugs your way (((((()))))) xxx'grá agus solas'

Hi Poppy
Thanks for the healing hugs
A few weeks ago I could have written a negative post about my doctor......I had been with him for years and tried to change {over the phone and was told NO....if i wasnt new to the area and already had a GP....they couldnt take me} Then with a bit of nagging from my husband I called in one day and asked could i change....Of course, there's the forms, fill those in and bring them back and that was it.so nyone else having problems take note
It was the original doc I saw about this and he said.....sprained sacro illiac joint and scribbled out a prescription for tramadol and that was it....didnt examine me or anything.....then the changeover happend and she said......you need that x rayed and things moved from there
I'm starting the Slow Release ones fronm tomorrow.......she stressed it must be 12 hours.....not 11 and a half or 13  so I'm finishing today with the liquid......alarm is just beeping now so thats to remind me to take them and starting in the morning withnthe slow release ones

Morning hileena
I am glad you are quite pleased with your gp visit. I hope then, that the tiredness you have been experiencing goes away soon.
I am sending pos vibes that you start to heal quickly.
Is it today you are going round the shopping centre? if so have a lovely time and treat yourself to something nice.and have a latte on me
love juliepf x0 -
Morning Hileena.
You are coping brilliantly with all this. I hope the meds continue to work and the fracture soon heals. And it's so good to know you'll be able to go out on your scooter. Well done, you!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
Hi Julie
Can I have a capuccino on you.... I .like those more than latte
Not sure that I will treat myself to something..... Yes it is today I'm going in.....Peter has some late calls to make so I'll be therr for a couple of hours while he does those surveys.
If I'm as dopey asI was the last time I went in.....I kept nearly falling asleep "behind the wheel"
I'll end up driving around a bit and then sitting in a cafe drinking coffee for ages and reading a magazine
I took the first morphine at 6.30am so I'll take the other one with me, set my mobile alarm and take the last one at 6.30pm.
I hope I'll be able to get something....I cant get off the scooter....normally i leave it outside a shop and walk around the shop.
I need a pair of trouses but dont think I could try a pair onsuppose I could bring some home and take them back if they wern't right. If nothing else at least I'll be in the middle of crowds...not sitting in the house looking at the same 4 walls.
Love

Good morning Hileena

Hi Hileena
Hope are feeling more upbeat today after a trip out.Staring at the same 4 walls can get very depressing. It can be such a boost to get a change of scene and see people!Di it again!!
Been confined to the house much of the last 6 weeks and to go and have a meal at our usual pub with friends was so uplifting.
