Thinking of you Tilly and sending you get well wishes.0

Get well soon Tilly! I spoke to Mr LV about is in a round about, just filling the time with random questions way. He is by trade a substance misuse worker. Opiates are notoriously difficult to detox from. You need support and possibly an environment where you can comfortably find that. The yo-yoing you describe is absolutely normal and what everybody does. A rapid detox may be an option, there are places about to assist this but they can be expensive. PM me if you would like to know more. I hope the virus backs off, you have enough to deal with. Huge hugs LV xxHey little fighter, things will get brighter0

I'm late in with this, I apologise (not had an easy day meself). She sent me a text at 7pm, she has spent much of the day asleep which I reckon has to be a good thing. She is feeling a little better in herself, her temperature is still spiking occasionally but she seems to be on the mend - her headache has nearly gone - hooray!
Keep getting better tillytop, please. We miss you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Thanks, DD. I hope the virus has its bags packed, now. There are always a fair few round at this time of year. Hurry up back to us Tilly because we miss you very much.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Another brief update: they are both in the wars, Mrs T is recovering from her bug and still struggling with the morphine withdrawal while Mr T has done summat to his leg and is hobbling around on her crutches. What a poorly pair they are. I send ((((())))) to you both. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
Oh dear, Tilly! I draw some comfort from the fact that you are now recovering from the bug. Just as well by the sounds of it as Mr TT sounds to be hors de combat right now. I think I'd personally prefer a bug to a husband in pain (They can be such pains
) but I'm sure you'll cope. I hope he has a proper diagnosis. These fit 'n healthy blokes are inclined to do their own diagnoses and self-medicate. My best wishes to both of you and, if you need the crutches, just grab 'em while he's snoozing in front of the rugby
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Yup, I posted a little earlier today, the one above Sticky. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Awwww Tilly, it sound like the rough seas just want leave you alone. I'm with Sticky, a bug is far easier than the pain of a husband in pain. I hope everything gets easier, smoother and better for you all soon. Sending huge but gentle hugs to you all, LV xxHey little fighter, things will get brighter0

Thanks one and all for your kind replies - and for taking the time to reply, specially since I haven't been around to support anyone else lately.
DD - thankyou so much for being kind enough to update this thread when you have so much else to contend with.
I feel very rude not having replied sooner - and that this won't be a "proper reply" re my original morphine withdrawal question, but as DD posted earlier in the week I have been laid low by some sort of virus and now doing not a very good job of looking after Mr Tilly and his poorly leg. I am pleased to report that things are looking up on that front - he has just surprised both of us by walking up the stairs (rather than the previous bum shuffling). I don't think, however, that he has thought the "coming down" bit through, so that will be interesting  .
Will reply properly as soon as I am able - but thanks again for your support. I really do appreciate it.

Hi Tilly,Good you are both recovering a little, have been thinking of you, sending hugs (((((())))))Mig0

How is your patient today, Tilly? And your own virus? I guess you had no option, in those circumstances but to take our advice of staying put for a while on the current dose of morphine. I hope things are a bit easier on that front. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
So sorry to hear about Mr T's leg.
I hope you both recover soon.

I've just been catching up with this thread. TT I'm so sorry to hear you're going through so much on top of arthur.
Good news that you've managed to shake the virus, hope mr TT is on the mend too.
As to your original post, how are you doing with the oromorph withdrawl. Are you having any help or input from your GP or practice nurse? You seem to have gotten it cracked to some extent, having already halved your intake. Don't be in too big a rush to cut it all out. Maybe try to take it a week or so at a time with your reductions and let your body get used to the lower dose before lowering it again.
None of us are experts here but we're all here to support you as best you can, I do think however that you would benifit from some professional assistance of some kind to help you through this. Big hugs.
