I hope you got through the day better than you expected Caliban?

Hello caliban;
I'm wading into the conversation late as I've been in my own state of absolute exhaustion where I too could not muster the energy to even answer the phone.
I'm just in the process of getting a second diagnosis of AS. A few months ago I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in my peripheral joints after seven years of problems.
Lately, it's just like someone has pulled my electric cord out of some imaginary socket somewhere and there is just no power for functioning.
It's pretty awful and it sounds like you know all about it.
I just thought I would send well-wishes your way.

Thank you, Frogmorton. Let's say: since there is nothing much I can do and since I don't seem do be able to get a grip on the situation I do it the american way: Shut down.
Oh Boomer, to be frank: I'm afraid I don't know a lot about this thing. I'm afraid the worst is yet to come. I don't think too much of it when I have not a flare. That's why I'm so ignorant if it comes to treatments and the rest. If I really start to look deeper into the affair, I could be tempted to just imagine symptoms. So much happens just in the head. It's confusing. But yes: The electric cord puts it nicely. I'm convinced that without the silly day to day problems, the health situation would be much, much better.0 -

Ah, the head is a very murky, dangerous place. (Well, mine is.) Best stay clear of it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Head is the worst. Off with it! Don't want it anymore.0

I'm second in line for that.0

Shades of Alice in Wonderland there, CalibanIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh, I don't need mr. Dodgson for inspiration. I'm inpired by life. As I said before rich, happy, healthy and daft would be nicer. No head required.0

I can do the happy and daft. In fact, I suspect 'happy' requires a certain amount of daftness. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

How are you caliban? I've been thinking of you, I hope you can see a glimmer of light through the woodsNumps x

Thank you for asking, numptynora! The flare is still on it's way out, wherever flares go when they hide for the next attack. It's the rest that sucks. I'm still totally knackered and the professional situation is getting worse by the day. It's pretty complicated, but it really doesn't help. I guess I have to re-invent my life. Alas, I still lack the energy to do so. Quite desperate in the whole.
I can do the daft, but not the happy.0 -
I never aim for happy, it's far too fleeting. Content is far better, stronger and longer-lasting.
I can understand your reluctance to tackle the bigger issues, I have one myself which is not going to go away until I start doing something about it.Ersi.

Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I want "happy" right now, even if it is not stable and solid. But of course you are right. I'm simply not that modest...
We'll start doing something about the probs tomorrow, ok? Or the day after?0 -
After all, caliban, you are in the land of manana - or you would be if I could find a tilde on hereIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
No tilde, Madame. This is North- Catalunya!
Manana ou demain- c'est la même chose, I suppose. Demain it is. Perhaps....
