Hi folks. Today is the first anniversary of losing or beloved Ra. He was a wonderful wonderful pet. . And my dear friend.
Some of you will have read of his amazing adventures on here. He lived a very busy super hero lifestyle and was my FURRY PURRY PILLOW...

I miss him and Cleo so much.

The furry purry pillow was a great lad, stunningly beautiful, good company (when he wasn't being aloof and regal ) and a super hero for the 22nd century (he found the 21st lacked challenge  )

Oddly enough, I miss him too. DD

    Thank you everyone... :D

Barbara, Toni wanted us to have Charlie. He is a stunning cat and very lovable but we decided that we couldn't go through the heartache again. So no more pets for us. I can visit Toni's menagerie whenever I like lol. She had seven cats (had to have poor Buddy put to sleep) and two dogs. .

    I'll find a photo of Charlie. .

I send you huge (())'s, I know how you must feel after we had to have our beautiful bubba put to sleep. We still talk about him as he was our 1st cat, he had lots of interaction on here with Ra (and went on missions with him!). Though we have the terrible twosome now we do still hold him dear in our hearts. Ra was a stunningly beautiful cat and I bet he was a very comfy pillow!

That is a very 'taking' cat, not sure how you resisted but I would be the same now.. he is lovely though, sigh, wish I had a few more borrowed pets to fill the gap.

Such beautiful cats. This April it will be one year since we lost our gorgeous cat, she was always happy to see us when we came home and would follow us around the house and sit watching TV with us, she was such a character and loving friend. We miss her terribly. Your pictures brought back happy memories.

Thanks for all the replies. I get plenty of cat time this week as my daughter and hubby have gone away camping so I'm in charge of feeding them lol.
They're always pleased to see me, apart from poppy who was a ferrel cat and is still weary of people. Haha. .

Barbara, I'm not doing too bad thank you hun. My back is easing more each day.

    Those are beautiful cats.

I've never lived without a cat and just can't imagine my home without one. It's very sad when they go but you know you've given them the best life possible. They give you so much in return.

Very true Boomer, that's why when Beauty passed I did try to live without a cat for 6 months and I hated the quiet in the day and that's why I went to the R.S.P.C.A and got my Arnie & Willow, they make our lives great and give us so much love and we give it back. We wouldn't be without them now!

Tony, I can identify with you completely. My Camilla (she was our 18.5 yr old cat) had a stroke last year on 9th December. She was happy in the afternoon, had a good lunch and evening meal and got into her chair to have her usual post-tea kip. She then woke up and the whole world went completely mad.
Needless to say this was a Sunday night. I have to say that our vets were very good. I told the on-call vet that I thought she'd had a stroke, within the hour she'd been seen by the vet and it was all over. There was no going back for her sadly.
To this day I still miss her so, so much.
Our 11 yr old cat some days seems to be okay but on others you can just see that she is looking for Camilla.
It's lovely to have animals but so sad when you lose them.
Like you, we cannot bear to have another cat. It would seem disloyal - if you have/had had a pet you'll understand that approach. If not, please take it from me that losing a pet is like having yet another family bereavement.
You just take care Tony, remember the good times and celebrate those.
