Not the easiest place to cope with oa? I find that soft cushioned shoes with a firm outer and wearing the same footwear all the times helps. Change one thing and you change the way you walk, support yourself and of course the pain you experience. This involves toes, feet, ankles m knees, back, neck……I could go on, I expect you get the picture.

Ask for help from the orthotics dept, they will be able to advise. Be gentle with yourself.

    its a grin, honest!

Hi - I too have arthritis in my ankle and foot. I’m finding it incredibly frustrating as it has got a lot worse in the last year and I can now only walk a very short distance. I’ve found weight training, rowing and swimming help with the frustration and with mobility a little by making my legs stronger! I also find good shoes are essential as airwave has recommended - try Allbirds, they’re v comfortable and supportive.
