Arthritis in hands, wrists, shoulders, feet
Hi everyone, I'm 57 and I've had osteo arthritis for a few years now. I finally got a diagnosis confirmed last year. No treatment offered at all. Just the usual advice to damage your organs by taking pain killers. Would like to be able to get advice on how to increase movement and strength, and reduce pain without damaging other parts of my body.

Morning Lizbeth.
Sorry to hear your diagnosis. Keep pushing for any treatment available. The OA will only get worse. Try to get help from your GP as much as possible, even if it means going back several times. I have suffered since 2016 and now find my thumb pain is completely debilitating and unbearable.

I have found that Leon's exercises, on the videos and the ones my physio gave me help. I need a new skeleton - 5'3" and in good condition. If you see one going cheap .................
Seriously though, the correct gentle exercises each day are the best, and only use your pain killers when necessary or your body will get used to them and they won't have any effect.
Good luck.
