Flare up osteoarthritis

Hello I'm new to this forum and have found it so helpful and informative.

I would like some advice, I have only just realised that my bad flare ups of knee pain happens around the beginning of the year Jan/ Feb winter time and wondered if there is anything I can do to lessen or avoid! As it seems it's winter when I get a flare up , thank you.

For me and my osteoarthritis which is in my hands I try and do some hand exercises and take Co-codamol
