Delayed diagnosis but at last a diagnosis

Hello, I’m newly diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I’m 62 and the pathway to this has been 3yrs and 2nd opinions.

Is it weird to be happy to be told there is actually something wrong with you?

Even more intriguing is that the doc who saw me on listening to me said this had clearly been going on since at least my 20s, that the reports of my x-rays that say I have osteoarthritis are incorrect and that raised but not highly raised inflammatory markers all my life are all indicators this has been going on for years. I gather the main difficulty in diagnosing me is because I have the “enthesitis” type of psoriatic arthritis.
I’m about to start methotrexate and came to versus arthritis to see if there was advice on taking this medication from people with lived experience - thus far have found lots of useful information and advice

Thanks to everyone out there for posting and sharing.
