Hi I'm new to this site, it's my first post ~ be gentle.😅

I have psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis, have suffered with it for the last 15 years.

Newly diagnosed with hypothyroidism, anxiety and PTSD .

Currently I work 12 hour shifts for Yorkshire ambulance ( days & nights) which are so hard to do.

My symptoms have started to become debilitating due to more & more flare ups.

I can't afford to drop my hours or leave …

I'm applying for pip on Tuesday, luckily I have a benefit advisor to help with the form.

What are my chances of being accepted in reality.

Is there any advice you can give me please on applying.

Thanks in advance.

Afternoon @Huskymamma56 and welcome to the online community.

Sorry to hear your concerns about new diagnosis and work situation.

I like you had help with welfare rights lady who was excellent so hopefully yours is as good.

TIP she told me to always tell them of your worst days (never the good ones) as they will mark you down !

Best wishes and good luck with application @Naomi33

Hi @Huskymamma56 just wanted to say hello.

If you have someone to help you fill in your claim form I really think that's the best thing you can do.

The other useful thing is to have everything ready for them names of consultants and contact details, physio any regular medical person who knows how your condition affects you.

As an ex social worker I filled in so many of these types of forms and the wording is crucial but the person helping you will know this.

    Hope you are successful
