Hi I've had osteoarthritis in both knees for a while now. Right knee for 13 years and 2 years left knee. I've had a meniscus tear in right knee, cleaned out twice. I feel that left the knee with little disc in between. I was told it was due to my lower back problems. I had a steroid injection in my back and that was great until lockdown. I was then told that I now had Spinal Stenosis and had Nerve devernation. That helped a lot. Las year I developed a different pain in my left knee which linked to my hip. I kept tripping over. Had a bad fall at Christmas which really damaged my right knee. I have been exercising and finding that the left knee and back works well with exercises but right knee, awful.

I had Athrosamid injections 5 days ago and feel very positive about my decision. The first three days no pain at all. Last night and night before I had pain, which is unusual, whilst in bed. I am on Nefopam which works on my knees. I am also on co Codymol 8/500, but I only will take one around lunchtime and before bed. I have been on 30/500 and 15/500 but have weened off those a few years ago.

I find once I am moving, I feel much better. I would love to hear from others about their experiences with Athrosamid.

I do sit to stand and squats but the fall clinic and leep clinic have taught me a really good way to do them without loading the knees. It's like sitting in a car. The young physiotherapist at the hospital doing lower limb gym, were awful and made my knees and hip worse.
