Coping With Psoriatic Arthritis

Hi there,

My name is Trent, I am 24 years old, and I started experiencing symptoms of psoriatic arthritis around 5 months ago. I am writing this to try and connect with people who might understand what I am going through. I am struggling immensely with my mental health and am just looking for some advice from anybody that might have found things that help them cope with their situation. Please reach out if you have advice or any helpful comments to make. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to chatting.

Hi Trent. I too have Psoriatic Arthritis. It’s been in agony for the past 6 months. I’ve had psoriasis for 5 years!! Kept getting diagnosed with it being excema and being prescribed endless steroid creams that just didn’t work.
Have you been too see a doctor about this?
I ended up going to a private rheumatologist just to get a diagnosis. He has then expedited my NHS referral as I would have to wait 6 months.
I’ve now been seen and started medication last week. You feel like you’re going nowhere but you have to keep on at the GP and get them to refer you are urgent. I hope you get the treatment needed and that you soon feel better. And one thing know you aren’t alone.
