hello everyone- I’m suffering with terrible itchy skin (especially on my forearms) feels like little pin pricks too. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m on my 3rd weekly dose of methotrexate and read this ‘could’ be a side effect. Thanks x

    Hi @Skate

Sorry to read about your itchy skin problem, it could be an allergic reaction to something but not necessarily to methotrexate. Since we are not medically qualified I suggest you ask your local medical team or pharmacist for advice for relief and possible causes.

Let us know how you get on.

    Take care

    Hi @Skate

I can't help with diagnosing but I can suggest showering using E45 instead if sheer gel or soap. It really does help, I've long used it post surgery but after a horrendous bout of eczema this year my pharmacist recommended it to shower in.

Get the stuff in a tub, not the liquid stuff but shove a hand towel in the bottom to stand in - it can get a bit slippery if you drop any.

Sanex for sensitive skin is also a good shower gel to use, other brands are available .

Hope you get some resolve from the Dr.
