That's nice Debs, did you say she is now oven ready  How do you know it is a she?
Is she plucking her feathers, is that because she is lacking something or another?
You are clever getting her to talk. Does she make a mess or is she quite clean? I don't know much about parrots.
Trish xx0 -
Right, a builders and then get it all sorted. Lights and heat on and then some food out ready. Porridge started, I'll just have a quiet sit over here and see if I can sort out my head...........think it's on the wrong way round or upside down or something.

Good morning vietnam!
You know that sleep is for wimps! Some of us have been burning the `all night' oil reading the papers and studying the mags. Even doing `research' on the web -
Went to college last night so late back and by time I put mum and the dogs to bed it was 11.45pm! then i put the Dogs out for a pee at 4am and got mum some tea and pain killers (self coffee and Plaseebo's as they do jack). That is why Ive been misssing in action! Come on peeps, you know that you dont have to have `arfur' to be `weired', it can come just come natural - as with me!
The swimming sounds w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l-l but don't you think they could do with `turning up' the heat of the water?
The last time I went, I got out stiffer than when I went in and was given a business card in by an undertaker! :shock:0 -

I heard something on the TV today, which is true.
This lady, saw her consultant at hospital, and he told her to go to the Dead Sea and go in that also the mud places they have there.
Well her Consultant told her if she went it would help stop the pain.
She hab been once and she reckons her pain went away. Now it has come back he told her to go again so she was selling items to save money for another trip.
i saw that as well did wonder if we can get it on nhs lol would save them a fortune in meds i always feel better when been away in sunval0 -

I was going to say good morning, don't know where the times gone so far.
Hi Debs, hope you are feeling better. Migraines are awful things your poor thing. Hope you keep your fluid levels up. Do they make you sick at all?
Trisher. Hi Ya Do you wear elbow pads or anything? It's not surprising you don't sleep very well on that amount of steroids. How much Alendronic acid do you have to take each week. I have one tablet a week. It's suppose to protect the bone marrow I think
I think there was a programme some time ago with Michael Palin having a soak in the mud. I think I would like to give it a go. Need to win the lottery first though.
Is Lucia around. and Chris, Cris hope you are better today.
For the first time for ages, I woke up without my hips and legs hurting. (woke up to tooth ache though)Just lazing there and suddenly loud knock on the door. My Amazon order 7.45am. Only ordered it last night
Thought it was just the cold weather making my teeth hurt. They also hurt when I am going to have a cold, but no, looks like an absess under my crown. I have found some Metronidazole from the last time I had an absess so I shall take them and hope for the best. Only 3 1/2 days supply. Will go to the dr I think to get some more.
If I go to the dentist, he will have to try and remove the crown which might break. He will then give me some tablets anyway and then I will have to go back and it is going to cost me the earth the have the crown put back. I just cannot afford it at the moment.
I was on a scheme with my dentist but when I retired, couldn't afford the £22 a month they wanted for me to have dental treatment.
I think I need to get my head down for awhile. fed up with the extra pain see you all later

Afternoon all! Just thought I'd pop in for another builders and some Pot Patience, please.............hubby's got manflu :!:
As if I wasn't depressed enough! And it's all my fault that I'm not fit enough to run about after him - all I can do is sit here and listen to the agonised coughings and sighing and grunts............I'll go for my nap soon, and get away from it all
Will someone please stop the planet for a mo - I want to get off!

I'm a bit late in joining about the red sea. But, a few years ago before I was married I was a lone traveller and I love the Middle East, I went to Jordan and went into the Dead Sea, which was great.
But, and no-one warned me about this you should only stay in for between 5-10 mins. So myself and a lady I had met (her husband was too scared to go in) went in and were floating about having a chat. When we looked at each other and realised there was stinging and itching in places that have never seen daylight, caused by the high salt levels. We prompltly left and showered but as soon as I was dry I noticed I still had a covering of salt all over my body, took about 3 showers.
The moral is go in but in short bursts and shower well after.
Anne
p.s Haven't been to Middle East since I got married as OH is a bit of a coward.0 -
