Hi Chris, hope you manage to get back and batten down the hatches before it all goes wild!

I'm going to find my duvet and do a bit of bonding with it! I could be some time..............

    Catch you all later.

Just seen the weather on the news, it is heading straight at us looking on the map they have shown.

It has been a lovely sunny day, blue sky, the type that would be a hot day if it were summer.

Now it has turned grey and dull, the wind is picking up.

    Hi All,

Well all I can say is this is no way to earn a living....... I shall grab a builders 4 buckets of energy and curl up in the fire and pretend I haven't heard a weather forecast...... I might scoff at 40 mph winds...... I really don't 120! they say there is a fairly good chance we will get a hurricane  Soon as it hits a force 9 I will hide.......

    Hi Annie,

An odd thing today...... Left the chicken in till I got back and Punk has laid 2 blue eggs in one day...... I def picked up yesterdays so they are both today’s....... There is nothing else thee who could have laid it and both are a good size as well..... odd eh? x

    Hi Val,

We got a big breeze just now from the North so am grabbing a couple of the blankets and going in the fire with them  Hope your k? x

    Hi Rehab,

Ginger crunch creams are the best I think  x

    Hi Julie,

How are you apart from tired and did you get 6 hrs last night? x

    Hi Chris,

Meant to ask you if you could get some tea bags while you were shopping for me :lol: Think its going to be rough...... comes in here round 2-3 tomorrow morn..... Oh I hope the warnings are just a rumour  ((( ))) xx

    Hi Trish,

Hope you got the meds? I rally hope you have had a nap and have a much better night. (((( )))) xx

    Evenin' all!

Cris, I can see you there in the fire, don't come out, I'll just collect the eggs ready for tomorrow - two? Is she doing overtime? Just the thing for brekkie.

    Rehab - plain digestive biscuits!

Julie, love, did you get any decent sleep last night?

Chris, I should have got another loaf while I was out........but I'm sure we will manage.

Trish, hope you got your meds...........

Val and everyone, the weather looks horrendous, think we're in for a disturbed night whatever!

I've been packing books since I got up from my nap and I'm dusty and in desperate need of a builders.......don't need anything to eat cos I OD'd on lemon drizzle cake earlier!

    Hello everybody.

Sorry to have gone awol. Both OH and myself hve been to Cambridge today. Not only lovely shops but the Museum is incredible
Paintings by Sargen, Sicket & Spencer. Some more impressionists .
Not bad exhibition Did some more shopping for the grandchildren. Gosh I do spoil them.

Now the weather. quiet a bit of flooding around Cambridge but we had sunshine inbetween hail storms and I am not exagerating about the size of the hail stones. Marble size. Driving out of Cambs the gardens were white with them.
Lovely moon. Witches moon with black clouds billowing around it. Now, would you like a ghost story!!!!
Have just had a great big piece of gooie chelsea bun and a cream horn. So much for my diet today. Had some lovely fish and chips in The Eagle Arms in Cambridge, met some lovely University boys, one from Holland and I have pulled because I have their names and email addreses in my little black diary. They were very chatty and wanted to know all about English Beer.
So have had quite a day. Shall suffer forit tomorrow.

Joy, how come you find yourself a fella everywhere you go? Are you gonna let us in on your secret?

Couldn`t make up my mind whether to order my shopping online, or go myself. Decided on the latter in the end. Wrong decision. Came back to the car......battery dead, and I`m stuck in the middle of a bloody carpark the size of Anfield. Waited over an hour for the recovery service. I was absolutely freezing, and in a lot of pain. Man with a van arrives, two seconds and we`re flying! He then tells me - and he wrote it on the form as well - that I needed to do a 25 mile journey to build up the battery. When I told him that I just wasn`t up to that, he said that I had better not call them again with the same problem then, or I would be charged. This really upset me, as I thought I was covered for any eventuality. He checked the alternator, which was fine, so I said I thought the best thing would be for me to go straight away, and get a new battery. Not a good idea, he said. You need a drip test - yer wha! - or the same thing could happen again. He left me then, mobile, but totally confused. I`m home now, lovely and warm, and quite frankly, I don`t care if I never go out again, at this moment in time!. Tomorrow, I will have to work out what the hell he was talking about - or get a bike!

Now, after that moan, please may I have a hot chocolate, and the biggest peice of lemon drizzle cake on the planet........Ange.

Ange, so sorry you had a bad moment or three there........but I'm fascinated, I never heard of a car having a drip! (In it, quite frequently, yes) but a drip test?

I haven't been able to drive for years now and what I know about cars you could pack in a canary's eye and it wouldn't feel anything! I go by the colour..........
