Very good afternoon to all! sorry, did read back a bit, but can't remember now...........it's the age, you know!

Hope you are all now tickety-boo and a bit.......I'm so happy to be home I could cry!

I am positively desperate for a large builders and some cream buns with strawberries in them, so going to have a rummage in the fridge.

Then I'm going to have a potter in and out and round about with a little fussing thrown in here and there..want to join me, Bubbles?

    Love

I will always join in on a potter, especially if it towards the fridge. Good to see you back and glad you are ok.

Julie, hope your hands are easing, sending lots of hugs for the pain to go away. Wouldn't it be nice if all the pains went, even for a while.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the fine weather, mind you, it is only just coming a bit warmer here, I had the heating up at lunchtime.

I am just going to sit in my corner and drink my T. My letter from the DLA came back today, saying no increase in care, it stays at lower level. So, I am way down on that and am going to have to go in front of the appeals panel. b0010.gif In march they said I am at risk and of danger and falls and now, two months later, with increasing care needs and all the rest that is going on, I am not at risk of danger or falls. c090.gif and my care needs are significant throughout the day but not frequent. You ask me, it is double dutch to me.
I rang them and said what is going on, in one letter you know I am at risk and in this letter I am suddenly not???? He said, oh, I don't know why that has happened.

Anyway, I rang my carers organisation lady and she is getting welfare rights onto the case again and they will come with me if it goes to appeal. My Drs will be fuming. I am already a total wreck with depression and anxiety, let alone the health issues that are knocking me for six. If I have to crawl in, I will do it, I am not being pushed asside. e020.gif sorry, rant over, I am going to have a shower and try not to get upset. Will call back in a while. XX Bubbles

I will try. No, I get the lower care and highest mobility and I have asked 4 times now, over the past year, that my care component be reviewed and increased, as my care needs are a lot higher now. Drs, Consultants and I have all sent in the letters confirming all this and then they write and say no, it stays the same. As I said, my Drs will be furious that they are going to make me go in front of the tribunal, they know what I will be like, on a good day things can be bad enough. Anyway, we will see what comes of it. They are sending me the forms out to raise an appeal.
I have been told that I should be on the middle rate and my OH should be receiving care allowance, as they are unable to work due to my ill health. Its all mind boggling. Right, off for that shower. xxxx

I was given the full allowance on both a long while again. But you are quite ill and you fall Bubbles. Are they going to make you go to a tribunal???

Can they not send someone home to you to see how you are??

My hubby is my full time carer too.

That's disgusting for someone sick to have to travel to a tribunal. Yet others get these awarded to them and they are not unwell.

It makes my blood boil. There have been so many cases of that. I remember a few years ago, in my area, there was this girl who worked on the Benfits, she was one of those that decide to give the moneyor refusing.

She was found out to be an illegal immangrant. You won't believe this, they allowed her to stay and she kept her job.

Now how did she get a job like that. It is disgusting.

Yes, they are going to make me go to tribunal by the sounds of it. I will see what the welfare rights man says, he is very good. I will also write to my Cardiologist again as he will be furious and I will have my GP write another letter that I will include in the appeals pack. He knows what state I am in, physically and mentally
I know what you mean Trish, some seem to work the system and sail through without question, even if there is nothing wrong with them.
With chronic heart disease, OA, sjogrens, fybro, anx and depression, IBS and now waiting for rheumy specialist I think that counts as not being so well  Oh is my main carer and jobcentre plus said, oh no, you cannot work, you cannot leave you partner, therefore you should get carers allowance. Yeah, right. Tell that to the DLA.
