Yep, docs tomorrow morning.....can't wait (I lie well, too).

I need a builders now.........and a bowlful of strawberries and cream!

It seems to have been one helluva day all over the country today.......been working outside and knew nothing about any of it till we caught News 24 earlier.

The fresh air has caught up with me and I don't think I can stay awake much longer to see if anything else happens today.

Hello everyone, sorry not read back yet.

I wasn't hossy napped by my cardiolgist after all. He was as superb as ever. Things are as bad, but no worse than the last examinations, which I suppose, in a roundabout way is good news. He was worried that I might have had another silent heart attack, which I have had before, but nothing new showed up on the ecg. Phew. Basically I am on just about all the treatment a person could be on, as he said, what I take would floor a horse.

He did say that from all my other symptoms I might have polymyalgia rheumatica and hopes that the rheummy has done super sensitive blood tests for serum rective, esr and rheumatoid factor. As he said, something is wrong, you have an inflammatory problem, which could be a miriad of things. So, I am ok but jaded and wanting to know what else is wrong, for certain.

He talked about my DLA appeal and said it would be totally wrong and contrary to medical advice to make me go to appeal, to let him know if they call me in front of the panel and I suspect he would be on the phone to them to give them what for.

Someome pass me a big cup of T please, can I have a cream scone too.

Hubby has a meeting tomorrow about his pension .... company suddenly and sneakily announced on Friday that the pension fund is stuffed (there isn't enough money) and that it is ceasing from 31st May - no more contributions will be made, and despite all the money he has paid in so far (been there 25 years) they can't say if there will be enough money to pay all the pension peeps are due :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x bet the bosses will be ok though, they knew in advance that this was coming. I suppose we should just be glad that he is still in a job, cos that sounds like the next thing that might be coming

make that a large bucket of tea and any of that medicinal brandy to go in it  could just be the thing to anaethsetise me tonight :lol::lol::lol:

Thanks Val, I needed that. Hi Wonky, he is a great Consultant, absolutely charming and caring, makes you feel like you are the only person he has ever looked after.

sounds ominous about the pension, is this a legacy from Gordon?

Still reeling from the news about the shootings in Cumbria.

They are like gold dust aren't they? but so fab when you find them! I saw a gynae prof for several years who would take all the time in the world to explain really tough stuff till we understood. No question was greeted with anything other than total understanding and a full explanation.

not got a clue why, but more likely bad management over the years ...... firm been bought and sold over and over by venture capitalists & RBS ...... take all the money then scarper and leave the s**t behind

    right ..... another cuppa anyone?

You can for sure, decided that I should fuss with the bed and change sheets, so snook off and did it, then had angina, so had to stop for a while, settled a bit now, OH said "why did you sneak off and do it, ask ME", so in trouble now.
That, along with hosp visit, news of poly whotsit possibility, meds, yep, the whole chabang. By all means, you can take my trolley round, I will be needing mine in about 45 minutes.

Will be there in your bag, to keep you calm and lower your bp with whafts of lavender. Hugs back to you too. Rest well, wonder if you have white coat syndrome, a lot of people do, worth asking, they might do a 24 hour bp check, oh had his done as it was through the roof every time he went, but was perfectly normal when he had the 24 hour test done. Just a thought.

    that's so true Bubbles,

my dad's BP can be through the roof when they first take it. They sit and chat about nothing and then take it again and it is always much lower .... funny how our bodies and minds work isn't it?!

No, not at all, I just cannot help myself and you know what it is like, you think, right, I am damned well going to do something. Like I said to my Consultant today, I used to run 30 bedded wards, run 8 wards at night, now I can hardly function through the fog and pain. But, as I also said, I am alive, even if not kicking quite as well. I try and tell myself that you cannot dwell on what once was. You have to try and deal with each new day. History is only something to learn from. Oh, I am all prophetic now.

Now, a035.gif I hope your uniform is ironed well, no creases on Bubbles shift. Here are the pills. a080.gif and the injections s040.gif

    Hi Bubbles,

So glad your not stolen! Its good to see Wonky with the meds, though..... I think my med deliverer looked slightly Little legs like even if she was wearing a freshly ironed uniform and a very nice hat (I think she has up graded to a matron....) Didn't think much of her helper either, he looked a bit familiar k050.gif and I have never had my temp taken like that before.... hummmm..... not sure about all this......

Hope your feeling ok and just going to get some cakes out the over (I have been trying to use up a load of eggs  ) and will make you a cuppa as well.

How you feeling? ((( ))) xx
