Jan, kettles on. Im okish but she (at acupuncture ) has buggered up me left arm & shoulder. Neck is just about recovering :roll: God knows what nerve she hit but its not been good. :x :roll:

Hi Jan, Im not going back but hubby is now giving me a rolakin cause i wont go back.
He wasnt there when she stuck needle in the nerve, she'd hit 1 in me leg & it jumped then me hand & me nails were about stuck in the ceiling. :roll: :x
Tell me what to do,i'll send him in for a sessoin if i could see how he copes with it :roll:

Hi everyone, just wanted to say a big to you all, for your kind words and support over the past 24 hours. It has been a tad traumatic to say the least. knowing so many people care so much, has made this day more bearable.

We went to see Dad and he seemed ok, was chatting and had had lots of drugs to stabilise his heart beat and lower his blood pressure. Typical ex nurse, I was straight in, noseying at the charts and the monitors, firing questions at his key worker. I knew a few of the staff, who are just as great as they were years ago and I said "you better take good care of my Dad", with a smile, not a threat. They also remembered me, from my admissions to the same unit, after my heart attacks. It did feel odd, going back.

We stopped a couple of hours and then let him rest, plus Mother was tired out as well. Made sure she was fed and watered, safely locked up and tucked in and came home. Spoke to Dad tonight and he had been chatting to the other two patients in his bay.

A wee bit jaded now, so will have a cup of T and perhaps a large slice of cake, any cake will do.................

HI bubbles, here's your T ....... you sit down and put your feet up for a moment or two ........... you need a bit of rest yourself now.

Hope your dad comtinues to improve and that you and your mum both manage to sleep well tonight knowing he is in a safe place.

HI debs ........ i don't really blame you at all for not wanting to go back! I would suggest that you talk to the person who was treating you (not just the receptionist) so that you can explain to her why you are so reluctant to be treated any more. YOu might not be the only one who has had such a reaction and well I think they need to know when it doesn't help ..... and especially when it makes things worse :shock:

Thanks Wonky, they said one of the nurses would ring me back but nobody has bothered to ring.
Ive told me gp so im covered & wondering if i should complain. Im a bit of a coward when it comes to complaining.
maybe i could write a letter to say what has happened to me. Im now worrying that me next pain clinic appointment wont happen as the receptist said in a snotty voice '' well you want to cancell all your appointments then'' I said'' yes all acupuncture appointments''then she said i'll get a nurse to ring you as its not good too cancel these apointments you know.
Its my body & my pain so i think its my choice of decent treatment luv.(Didnt say that as i said im a coward)but i can think it :oops:

Hi all, bubbles hope you are resting now, and your dad makes a full recovery. You remind me of my mum she used to be a nurse and when she visits family or friends in hospital she goes straight for there chart.
Debs I don't blame you for not wanting to go back, sounds like it caused you to have more pain instead of relieving it. Ange its been a long time since I heard the word buggerlugs, that took me back. hi trish, I have got a pain clinic consultant but i havent got aletter from her with her name on, my gp wont give me copys of letters that are supposed to be sent to me too , dulpicates:x
I have asked for copies of letters to be sent to me. never recieved.
i get so fed up of asking.
Right it looks like it my time for laa la land.

You are supposed to get copies of the letters from the hospital. It comes under The Department of Health's Copying Letters Policy.

That is the name tell that to your doctor or the hospital.

If there is a consultant you can write or phone the secretary and tell them you want copy's. Also explain to the what happend when you had the last session and you are very concerned about having it done again. Also ask if you should end up in so much pain.

You may get him/her ring you. If not phone and ask, also send a letter.

Ahh well , looks like its only me but hope thst means you all sleeping soundly and having sweet dreams. i'll just sit here awhile in this lovely comfy chair and have a lovely steaming, comforting mug of hot choccy with all the trimmings, thanks.
