I wonder if Bubbles is alright. I'm getting worried about her.

My cholesterol has gone from 4. something to 8.5 so I will have to go on meds for that now  they said that might happen with this drug. I do hope bubbles is okay, has anyone got her mb number :?:

Hi Trish and everyone, sorry I did not get in last night, or until late tonight. Hugs to all, apologies for not being on pocket duty too.
Last night I just crashed, I knew that after all the recent events things would catch up with me, that, plus the pregablin, finally caught up with me and I was fit for nothing, but bed.
OT has been today, she was lovely, has sorted out the "prescription" for various things, chair raisers, toilet frame, step for the shower, wheelchair ordered, application for new shower grant to go in, as she agreed that ours was too dangerous. She was very kind and helpful.
Then I thought I would have a nap, 4 hours later, I woke up.
I don't think I will be able to read back, I know there have been hossy visits and pocket duties.
Hi Julie, I see your cholesterol has gone up, are they starting statins? I bet you already mentioned it, sorry, my mind is off in another universe at the moment.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Thanks pet, I appreciate that, very much.
I nearly burst into tears when the OT mentioned the fact that I needed a wheelchair when out and about. I know it is true, but, I have been putting it off, as OH said, I can whizz you past all the chocolates and biscuits. LOL. I will get used to it I am sure.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
bubbles yes I will have to go on statins, going to see my gp on thursday to get it sorted. I was wondering when it would all hit you, you have been through a lot this past month. I think having the wheelchair will make things easier for you, whizzing you past the biscuits

It has hit me big time. The day of little or no pain must have been a fluke.
I know, I will find out where the brakes are, or swipe the biscuits and chocolate off the shelves with my stick. Takes 6 to 8 weeks to get the chair made to measure.
I have been on statins for 16 years now, they do help, can make you a bit "windy". when you first start.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Well at least I will have something to blame the wind on I think I'm going to have to get OT to come and see me again as I am struggling to use the stairs, a friend lent me her cruchers but she is going to need them back. They applied for a grant to put me a wet room in but it was turned down as I have 2 outdoor steps.
Julie xx((((hugs)))) n xxxxx to ya all0 -
Hi Julie
So you are going on Statins? Well Julie they will get your levels down to a safe one.
Glad you are feeling ok too.
((((()))) xxx
Bubbles

I felt pretty ropey last night, I tried to write, but couldn't and just went to bed.
Yes hun, I was measured for it today, one to go in the back of the car. She said it would broaden our horizons and we could go places and I could actually get out, rather than sit in the car, due to not being able to walk far. Shopping would not be as daunting either, OH said he is quite happy to push me and whizz me round so I don't have time to buy anything, the cheek of it.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Julie
What about a stairlift have you tried for one?0 -

The OT is putting the application in, we have a ramp from the car park bit, to the door, so I don't know if that makes any difference?
Physio is my next visit, to change from sticks, to arm support ones.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Bubbles
You will have to learn the tricks of the trade. When you get near the bicci's you say to hubby O go and see what that is over there, now make him go the further away the better, gives you more time.
Then you grab the bicci's and in they go cover them up by putting something on the top and Bingo0 -
Trish hope you managed to get the egg out of your hair, I got sherry on me  When I see my gp I'm going to see if she will increase my pain meds as they are not working now. Glad you are back home ((((hugs)))) to you, looks like we are all comming to your house for a roast dinner

I will remember that one for sure, being a newbie to a wheelchair.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Julie
Yes, just drop around Sunday ha ha all the trimmings too.0 -
Bubbles
Well lets be hoest it is not before time really is it? You should have one a long time ago.
You will learn. When they make them to measure well mine have always had nice coloured material. Not the plain black or grey. My one is mauve deepred green all mixed up. It does loo smart though.
You will need to use those brakes well. Hubby should also be shown how to get you up and down different size kerbs. Most are sloped now though. You will learn the wheelchair curse.
When you go to cross the road you go down the slope bit when you get to the other side some ******** hass parked his car across it0 -
bubbles I hope you get your grant I think you will as you live on one level, they said when they looked at mine they took into account that I might be in a wheel chair one day and that I might be better in a bungalow. The OT were very helpful and said they would come again if I needed them. I did have a loo frame but it was that high up because my loo was high I couldn't get on it
Right I'm going to go and try and get some sleep, nite nite bubbles and Trish ((((hugs)))) to you both. Cris hun if you pop in ((((hugs)))) for you too hope you are okay.
Julie xx((((hugs)))) n xxxxx to ya all0 -
Julie
Yes if you come from the up road go three times around the round abou. Then first left. If you come from the other way it is 5 times around the rouabout the 3 right.0 -
Bubbles
I will try and keep my fingers crossed that you get the grant you need it.
You should get it.
They could put a stairlift in for her.
I have an eye on a shopping channel they have a rare Janpanese Maple and there is no where in the world to buy them. They change colour every month. They grow for 100 years They do look nice I tempted.0
