Hi Debs, Trish, is anyone else around?
I've been trying to sleep for the last hour, but I can't. First time I've been like this for ages.
Hips and legs are murder, have just taken some Tramadol to see if that helps.
I'll help myself to a builders to wash them down.
Annie0 -
Hi Annie, thats how i was last night i just couldnt get comfy to fall asleep. Neck, back & shoulders are murder too.
I adjusted me pillow so many times i nearly fell out of bed  . I had to lay flat on me back for a bit listening to OH snoring away. so i came down here til 6ish  & cleaned up in here. Did it look nice n clean this morning when i was happily snoring away in trishs pocket?

HI Annie,
I'll join you in a builders if there is enough in the pot hope you get to sleep soon Annie.
excuse the rather strong raspberry smell - got carried away with the body butter after my bath
that was true bliss ....... first proper soak for years without the worry that I'd not get out ..... worth every penny for the service and the new battery for MIL's bathlifter You'll all know what I am doing if I go AWOL now ....... soaking in the bath
Trisher .... I am furious on your behalf that you were put through so much pain for no reason ...... that is awful and I think you do right to think of asking to see someone else next time. I really hope that the pain has worn off now and that you can manage to sleep well.
hugs to everyone

Hi Annie
Come and join the mission impossible sleeping club. The Amytrips not worked.??0 -
hi Wonky
No I have been in pain worse my shoulder he could see was hot and swollen and he wanted to see what range i had in it. Also how far back my wrist would move. It wouldn't go back much.
Well as you know when you are like that you don't want to be poked.
If he is there next time I will refuse to see him.
If that does no good I will complain.0 -
Hi Wonky, Ive been in the tub tonight as well on me bathlift.
Isnt it lovely to know you can get in there anytime you like & not have to do battle everytime.I still have to use me rails for getting in & out .I hold onto rail as i get me legs in & down i go
I love mine & couldnt manage without it, I was ending up having strip washes more than bathing  before i got mine.
Enjoy
Right i need more tea, meds make me so dry i must drink gallons of the stuff  But i luvs me tea.

Debs you are so right a wonderful feeling. I didn't need to have hubby on standby in case I got stuck good job too as he was asleep!
The only tricky bit is the getting in and out as you say ... especially if you knock the button by mistake as you are twisting round I'll soon learn all the pitfalls to avoid
I also got out the towel I made when I tried to go swimming - it wraps all the way round me and has an elasticated top and a zip so that I can just wrap it round me and dry myself that way ..... much easier and takes so much less energy
right .... just have a last cuppa and then I'm off to bed - got hospital tomorrow for TB blood test & to see the OT to get my splint mended. Might go and invest in some more bath goodies now but don't tell hubby
hugs

Nothing seems to be working tonight, petal. I'm hoping that the Tramadol kicks in soon.
At the moment I can't stand, sit or lie down for more than a few minutes.
Annie0 -
sorry to hear that Annie ... hope they kick in soon.
hugs ((())))

Thanks Wonky.......glad you enjoyed your bath! Don't get any toffee caramel flavoured bath stuff - I did once and spent the evening trying not to lick it off!

Hi Annie, when i last saw the consultant she told me to take the Amptrips early ie 8/9pm then they work better & make you more tried. Thats what ive been trying then as soon as my eyes start to feel sleepy im straight off to bed. Didnt work last night but i had something playing on my mind anyway  so that means no sleep for debs.0
-
I'm off to bed now ..... hope you all manage some sleep
hugs
WOnky xxxx0 -
Yes, I was told to take them mid-evening, Debs, so been taking them at 9pm, perhaps I'll try 8.30 tomorrow.
Got to stand up again now. Think I'm in for one of my pottering nights. Do you take pregablin?
