    The Tamer is the river that keeps Cornwall cut off from the rest of the world....... Devonport docks is at one end cus its very deep and half a mile wide as it reaches the sea.

    I shall sit up by the signs and wait for you bus and then we shall see if this year I can do a bit more than drown with surfboard tied to my leg :wink: xx

    the buss stretches to fit all who wish to travel on it. we will stop at the best hotels tonight there is a turn on in the hotel and a free bar evening meal 7.30 till 9.30 so going for a stroll first might even paddle in the sea .will catch u all at dinner.

    I reckon we're either in Dartmouth or Salcombe and moving rapidly down towards the Tamar Bridge - you have to hold your breath as you go across, too, or the piskies will get you!

    The sunshine is lovely - I'd forgotten it could be so warm on your face and smell so good. Heading for the bar now as a couple of pints of brandy and ginger sound about right for me and I'll have a seafood platter for dinner, washed down with a pint of the black stuff.

    hi have just looked at map and signpost and we r in st austell there is a trip around brewery planned for this morning then we had better head off tofalmouth any one know any nice places to stop on the way should hate to miss any where nice???
