That's wonderful, Elizabeth. A bit of 'me' time doing something in which you are interested can give a real boost! I'm hoping to find some classes once we move down to the coast, but really want something to study..........I can neither paint nor draw!

Hi Elizabeth
I'm so glad that you have found an art class. I hope it is as good as mine. We have a wonderful teacher, who is a real inspiration, and the members of the group are the friendliest lot of people you could ever hope to meet. We all have arthritis, because the group is part of A. Care, so we have a common bond, but we do a great job every week of forgetting our aches and pains. We have a good laugh as well as doing some art work :!:0 -

Hi Annie
How lovely to live near the coast. I live in the Midlands, so about as far from the sea as possible.
I'm all in favour of 'Me' time, so I hope you will find something to capture your interest. I go to computer classes and exercise classes as well as art classes, so I am pretty busy, but it is all good.0 -
Hi Annie
I don't know which part of the coast you live, but lucky you.
I envy you. I don't know how busy you are at 8.am in the morning but there is an art programme Alwin Crawshaws complete watercolour course. He works in oils too.
There are quite a few 'How to Draw and Paint' subjects on the internet and I could suggest you ask for a subscription to Amatuer Artist monthly magazine. I found this very good and will give you lots of ideas for courses in your area. Very useful exercises too.
I am very lucky with the groups I go to and you can make so many friends. If you log onto John Frederick Black or FPAA you can get an insight into the inspiration I get.
I hope you can take art up as a hobby as I find it takes my mind off my many health problems. good luck
