I've played the cd three times now, non stop.:D:lol:

:D Another highlight to my day. While it was playing, I also listened to David Smalley on BBCiPlayer. His interview is one hr 19 minutes in on the Heather Stott show. David, a 41 year old courageous AC fundraiser, reached Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal last month. There were a couple of plugs for AC. David is a hero! Arthur ain't going to beat him!

    Hi Berty,

You now I had a few today can I have all of them please?

First the trees along the road to Truro set against a sinking wonderfully pink and yellow sun. Then I heard a track by Faithless I hadn't heard before.... now trying to find it cus I love Maxi's voice :lol: Quite like the back beat as well

Then went down to the sheep who are nearer the sea than me and a bit further west and got the full force of the setting sun, yellows and reds and pinks with grey clouds tinged with white and holes for the light to come down in beams... it was a real good one :D

Then talked to a friend and that always makes me feel better.

Panda actually licked my hand and I got back and found a m from a good friend :D

Oh and Annie Mac did the best mash I ever geared her do :D Had a bit of fluffy cloud, unfinished symphony and ended with a bit of Floyd but the bit inbetween was good as well :D

Good day really. Hope your will be today cus I am a bit late...... (((( )))) Cris xx

:D Made some gluten free pastry. It is chilling in the fridge. Will make a quiche in a mo so that may overtake this highlight of my day :lol:

Made 2 GF loaves yesterday and tasted it for lunch. Well, it looks good, does not crumble but is a bit dry....... my son says it is the best GF bread he has tasted. :) Bless! I have made four loaves for him from the same recipe now, in total. I freeze them.

Elna - you'd better make up some for Nina too :)

Glad to hear you've solved the bread issue with GF diet - the shop bought stuff is pretty dreadful :(

The highlight of my day was managing the Gluten Free pastry. I managed though and made a cheese pie, like a quiche and a large jam tart. :D Victory!

I went and spent a load of money that I shouldn't and I don't care. I bought a lovely pen (I have a weakness for writing implements) and a very stripy sweatshirt from Per Una at M&S as an incentive to lose weight. It fits but it will fit better when I've shad a few pounds. I am starting the diet tonight with a trip to our local curry house, which will involve two pints of Kingfisher and a prawn dhansak. And pappadoms. No onion bhajees tho - they're fattening! (I know my stuff!) DD

    Hi Toni

GF pastry is easy to roll out on a floured worksurface and inbetween two sheets of clingfilm, but not at all easy to then move into a pie dish or whatever. It breaks up! I managed though, sort of, but no-one would know the trouble I had :D

:D Yesterday's highlight was visiting one of my lovely SIL's, her daughter, husband, three beautiful girls and their dog, Jake in their huge house in the country, looking out onto a field of sheep and lambs :D

:D Today's highlight was watering the plants in the greenhouse and it was toasty warm in there :D

I also raked over the round flowerbed in the front garden in readiness for the red geraniums that I have lovingly been caring for, since they arrived as plugs in the post. :D There are 64 of them and they are all healthy. They have been outside in their little pots for the past week or so to get used to the outside elements. :D

My highlight of the day was...

First thing this morning when I was woken by the phone. Usually that would result in quite a grump but it was my best friends back in Oz and she was on great form!

It's so lovely to chat with her about nothing in particular and to have someone who completely gets who I am. We finish each others sentences and have a grand old laugh every time we chat. Today we were on the phone for an hour and a half! :D

Today I was taken as a great treat and as a surprise to...........TA DAH...........Homebase! Oh, the excitement, don't think I will recover for ages..........now, if the silly s*d had told me what he intended, I would have taken my sticks, the floors in those places murder my knees and feet, as it was I gave up halfway through and only got two lampshades!

That brought back lovely memories of my own "boys" - now in their forties and still as loving! - and do you know, they are the most precious memories in the world. Treaure them.
