Hello you - you're back again! I was going to send you a text but I dozed off. I'm hopeless at the mo, really hopeless. I hope you are taking care of yourself and not doing too much 'unscheduled armchairing' - that made me laugh out loud, what a lovely phrase! DD

Hi DD how are you today. As you know I am new to this game and answered a few messages to different people. I have a short memory like the fish i chose as my avatar. I had to look through your messages to see if I had sent a well wish. At 47 I think I have started with senoir moments early. (or is it my medication). Anyway hope you are feeling better.
Love julie xx (I would send a smiley face off message board but it doesn't seem to work )

    Hi DD,

Unscheduled aremchairing is the order of the day most days at the min :lol: My neck 'loves' it... wake up thinking hell I am paralyzed... and it really hurts but then you remember to move, usually with hands holding the head and making it... well you know the rest!

Going to sabotage the dish in a near by field cus that's whats making it iffy! I keep speaking to the provide and they keep telling me its intermittent here.... really, I hadn't noticed!

Hope you will start to feel a lot better soon and am going in to town so will do a brewery raid for you  Luv and a ((( ))) Cris xx

julie, I now think of you as pinkflamingo, so if I address you as PF, that's why. Many thanks for your good wishes: they are much appreciated.

skezier - a brewery raid is an excellent idea. Do some armchairing first tho to gain strength. I need industrial quantities of the stuff. Many thanks in advance! DD

    Hi damsel. :D

    how're those feet?

did you get the chews and the turnip I sent you :?: I have it on great authority (Cris) that they are 'special healing foods'...especially if slightly nibbled on before sending. (my idea):lol::lol:

hope you are feeling a bit better...

It's my right foot - it's sore but I can't see what's going on. I'm still slapping on the out-of-date cream 'cos I ain't got the energy to flog to the docs. I have a small patch on the outside of my left elbow - that's a first. I guess my PA is EXTREMELY active! I was able to get my bloods done today so I will definitely make it to meth stabbing tomorrow for the results, if not for the meth. I feel lousy. DD

    Hi DD

Sorry to see the flare still got you in it's jaws big time there. Hope you are managing to get some peaceful rest at least when you can, be it at night or through the day. I do have so much sympathy for all of you with what you refer to as the meth stabbing routine and others to cope with. Sounds so grim to me! :? though is hopefully generally giving some relief.
Sorry I am twittering here, and quite possibly not making any sense at all, but I do send healing vibes and hugs DD. If all else fails and things continue to make you feel so rough, I would try the grape juice DD! ps. other beverages are availabe.

    Hang in there

Other beverages? Good grief woman, what do you take me for? I do, admittedly, have a cup of tea in front of me, but my usual 2 glasses have been consumed tonight, with an extra for the missed one yesterday. Yep, meth tomorrow, don't know why I bother tho - it does sweet Fanny Adams for the PA. Hopefully they will say that I can't have it due to the flare. I want my blood results tho - I got those done earlier today and I want to know my inflammatory markers. I suspect they will still be in single figures despite swelling and knees that feel sooooooo heeeeeeeaaaavvvvvyyyy. It was dark by 9.10pm here. Disgraceful. Summer's gone. Ugh.

Sleep well chris, take care tomorrow. DD

Hope it all simmers down for you, DD. I'm taking a bucketful of arther to the end of the pier tomorrow and there I will cast it into the sea..........hopefully it will wash up on a politician.

    Hi DD,

sorry you are still suffering with the flare and that the psoriasis is doing it's worst. Non alcoholic wine is as bad as caffeine free coffee .... Can the clinic tomorrow not give you a prescription for the cream you need to save you have to go to the docs as well? (probably not, that would be too simple!)

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hi DD, Glad you made it for the blood tests today. It's good that you will have the results for tomorrow. I do so hope your foot and elbow calm down asap. Amazing how quick they have appeared :(

Going to join you with a glass of white soon. Off tomorrow, will spend the afternoon with my loopy friend.

Wish I could be more helpful but I am thinking of you and wishing this dam flare would end for you.

    Morning damsel.....how's you feeling :?:

did you manage any restful sleep. I doooo hope so lovely

Wonder what the bloods will show?..... I know that they don't always (often) reflect how arther is, so it can be maddening to be told 'your inflam. markers are fine'.....so get them to 'look' at your joints...that'll tell them more. that's what I do :!:

will be thinking about you with your Meth stabbing  I do mine on a Sunday as I know I'd forget if it was on a weekday!

More chews (from Cris's store) and neeps from me..xxxxx

    iris xx

ps....still light until 10pm here :P ..I knew there had to be a good reason for being this far north.

    Morning DD

Are you using the chews Iris keeps sending you DD??

Just be careful....I tried them once and they are highly addictive  I can be found regularly now outside the vets trying to get a fix....

Hoping against hope that you are surviving and hanging on in there - as you say it WILL pass.

    Love and hugs

Morning all. Been for meth - a repeat performance of last week's effort, appointment 8.45, in at 9.32! Hurrah for the NHS. I slept whilst waiting - at least she had the gumption to wake me up. The bloods are fine, my joints hurt like blazes, but there is no swelling. Go figure. I can't work it out. Apparently my foot isn't too bad so I'll keep on with the out-of-date stuff, it seems to be working. I'm slapping it on the elbow too. I've had enough. My mantra, all things will pass, is very hard to chant today, but I WILL make the effort! The only person who can get me better is me so I'd better crack on.

Once again, many thanks for your unstinting support - it really does help. A grateful DD

Did you a raid and leaving some honey sticks (watch out for Toni nicking them  ) and a pint of St A's finest. Really hope you soon do feel a lot better. Cris xx

    Hi DD

Was about to say good morning then realised the time 1.10pm - heck .... itws methotrexate day yesterday so I slept until 11.30am today! Bliss!

What a horrid time to go to the docs. I always request afternoon appointments so I can limber up somewhat to get there.

I think it is high time you flare up p* ss*d off and I have told it so therefore expect a blissful full night's sleep tonight and gymnastic ability in the morning  You know I am a bossy soandso therefore Mr Flare Up is trembling in his boots as we speak.
Funny how we call all the horrid things 'he' haha.
Hope you have a decent afternoon DD and enjoy your uninterrupted sleep tonight.

    Hi DD

Sorry the doc, kept you waiting this morn! We shouldn't really be surprised but there is always a vague hope that appointments will keep to time!
Hope the out of date cream! does continue to help a little and that you are getting some decent snoozes in when you can.
Did you manage to stay awake through MSW or did Jessica solve it without you today?
Hang in there DD, as you say "it will pass" but would be nice if we could help shift that flare a bit quicker with all our positive thoughts. Am sending some now, they can't hurt eh! ((( )))

Cor crikey DD, just catching up with all this. I didn't know what you have been coping with, yet you have been so supportive to me with my trivial moans.

Goodonya DD, I love your attitude and occasional strop, long may it continue and I'm right with you.
Hope you are not having so much pain though and HUGE((((hugs)))) from me.

The majority of moans are not trivial: this blasted disease would prompt a saint to lose his/her patience every now and again. Yup, I'm struggling but I'm not alone in that and it does not mean that I cannot try to encourage and cheer others along this miserable bloody path we call life. Ah. Not in the best of tempers, so I will go away and sulk (HUGELY) upstairs whilst watching Coast. Night all, sleep well. DD

Night then DD, at least you are sleeping well.

Hope the flare hurries up and runs its course.

I'm dog-tired ... we've been on a day out today - my hip is no more or less tired than the rest of me ... so that has to be a good sign! Think I need some of that purple grape juice stuff.
