I have been to the pub in support of The Husband. I did not want to go, but he needs help as do I. (Work-wise the pressure is enormous.) He suppports me, I support him. 'Tis only fair. It was great! We bumped into people we hadn't seen for a while, I will pay big-time smiley tomorrow but currently I do not give a jot. It won't be worse than the past few days - I can handle that. Of course I can. DD

skezier, I am concentrating v v v hard - phabulous spelling, you clever girl you. I am getting on phamously tho I do realise that the phall out tomorrow will be less than phabulous. Phortunately, I am not bothered at the mo. (I did want to type summat else but the sensible gene kicked in: ph*** me). I have concluded that there is more to life than arthritis. It's taken some time ( a mere 13 and a bit years) but I think I have phound the secret. Oh gawd. DD (Phor the rest who are wondering about the eccentric spelling (iph any) check Carola's thread on CC about re-upholstering a tub chair, phortunately it clariphies all.) DD

Blame Carola! She needed to get a bad word past the mods on the chit-chat forum (something about reupholstering a tub chair) and oph course I couldn't resist a challenge! So I phlaming well tried to garner a truly phabulous response to her phirst posting and so we went on phrom there. It's been phun! DD

marion, marion, marion - Phriday! You missed it - some mental gymnastics are required, but once in the groove it's phairly easy.

I am pleased to report that I am pheeling nowhere near as tired as the past ten days or so. The pain hasn't blown itselph out, but then it never does! I shall be sensible today tho - the temptation is to scurry about (as iph!) catching up on the stuph that has been lepht undone but I know phrom previous experience that that can be a stupid thing to do, so I won't. One does indeed live and learn, if one is wise. Right: enuph of the 'phs'!

Thank you all for your unstinting support over the past few days - it has really helped knowing that there are some out there who know what it is like and who are willing to look in and say hello. What has been a tough time has been less tough thanks to you. My dearest skezier, you are an angel. I am lucky to know you. DD

Oh skezier, The Husband was in HMV yesterday and looked at Deadmau5 - didn't buy it. Twerp. Have told him he is too. DD

It's been an interesting mix of sunshine and showers! The Husband has gone to B&Q to look at ladders - our upper gutters need clearing and they are about 35' up. I want to get a firm in to do them but TH reckons he can manage. They look a reasonable height from the ground, but once up there? He is short and has a small wing-span. I hope he goes off the idea!
