Hi DD - sorry to hear you are still suffering. ((((((hugs)))))) and praying for you to stamp on 'arthur' and squish him!!!!

I think others here will agree when i say that you can moan as much as you like and you have a right to be in a bad temper at the moment.

You are so supportive to us on here so we want to support you!! You are having a really bad time and it would push anyone over the cliff!!!

I hope you will soon feel better.

    take care

Hi roses1. I managed to stay awake for Coast (hurrah!) but dozed off with the Normans. It will be repeated, no doubt!

I appreciate the reassurance from many of you that I can moan as much as I want, but I suspect once started I wouldn't stop. Moaning doesn't change a thing: it is what is is, it isn't what it isn't, don't make it what it can't be. I think I heard that on CSI, I wrote it down and remembered it 'cos I think it sums things up very well. Things continue to be rough: so be it. There's nothing anyone can do, 'tis the nature of the beast so I can only grit my teeth and get on with it. Which I will. I will say, however, that the support you have all offered is treasured - my deepest thanks to the lovely skezier for starting this thread, I read it and re-read it because it cheers! Right: time to stop the self-pity, go make a cuppa and put two eggs on to boil to extinction - I like 'em hard-boiled so they bounce when dropped. I cannot bear a runny egg - oooh, thread idea! DD

Morning DD - how was the lasagne?
So sorry your are no better today but your stoicism is obviously still at the fore and I continue to be full of admiration for the way you are coping.

As to the eggs - I'm with you on that front - look forward to a "how do you like your eggs" thread soon.

Oh dear, DD. Sorry, the full night's sleep I sent you must be stuck in the post.

I shall try harder for you tonight!

I will make up a little prayer for sleep poem for you ......

When DD lays down to sleep
Let us pray her Big Z's are deep
And when DD awakens in the morning
Her smiley face is not yawning

That should do the trick!!

    Hi DD

Sorry you are still having to grit your teeth there DD. I have been sitting on several benches waiting around today so have been thinking of you. Hope the eggs were boiled to the required density. Pity we couldn't put 'arther' in a pan and boil him dry or a least get a little revenge.
I happened to be passing a well known store with a food hall Mylene Klass frequents, on the way home so tea today was a BLT, and two vanilla slices (well they will sell them in two's :D ) with a bottle of grape juice to be opened at later if I can remain awake.
hang in there, I loved the ode hope it works for you tonight.

Grape juice rocks! Re the selling them in twos - you could make 'em last but why the hell should you? A stressful day deserves reward - pig 'em and enjoy 'em!

I have learned my ode off by heart. I shall repeat it tonight instead of 'all things pass'. That has gone well past its sell-by date. It (and I) need a rest. Take care, my lovely. Have one of these (()). They are as rare as hens' teeth. DD

    Hi Grape Juice Girl,

You do realize that at some point in their development hens do actually have teeth don't you.......:lol::lol: One to help break out of the egg I think but might have to cross reference that to make sure.....

Hope you have a good night there flower and sleep well. feel better tomorrow and Carol has done you a good ode there :D Cris xx

I knew about the egg tooth - hence the rarity I suppose!

Better night last night - thanks my Scottish Blonde Bombshell! It worked - you angel, I am very touched by your thoughtfulness. The pain has not diminshed one jot, however, and my temper is not good. I may not be around much today - there are many inanimate objects that can bear the brunt of my bad mood - my computer isn't one of them. Yours, a grumpy DD (who shouldn't be, but is. )

It wasn't my first baby - I don't over-use them, that's all! Some people find beautiful ones - trisher sent me a beautiful bunch of red roses which I've kept but I've never found anything similar! Thought mine on skez's thread looked a bit like kd lang! DD

    Good Morning DD

Chuffed that you enjoyed a bit of sleep

Have a decent day today but if you are feeling destructive then through a saucer or something (if your arm can handle it) as I find throwing and breaking things most satisfying.

In fact, when I am in the mood erupting and throwing a hissy fit can be one of the most gratifying things in the world!

It's all well and good chucking stuff about and breaking it (and yes, I'm sure it helps) I just can't bl**dy clear it up afterwards! Creating extra work doesn't help the temper either! I am going to go into the cat-poo-infested patch we laughingly call a garden and try to rip up some ground elder. I am also taking a water spray in the hope that some ghastly flea-infested rat-bag of a cat will venture in and I can get him good and proper. Oooooooooh - a glorious shudder of anticipation just ran through me! DD

Just checking in for more poetry or goings-on

Glad you at least got some good kip - that's a start DD :)

Now we only have to work on the pain....

    Where are the poets???

Hope your poo collecting doesnt take too long and that you can vent your anger out there not on anything you care about.

    Love and hugs

    Hi DD,

Hope your mood is a little better now? Its a horrible condition and if I could I would yank mine out and ring its bl*** neck, or shoot it, oh starting with its ankles, then knees and then its back and neck see how it likes it...... Oh not a nice person, I don't believe in violence at all but if my condition took 3d form and stood in front of me ... well lets just say they are going down!:lol::lol::lol:

I used to be quite a fighter when I was younger.... my head injury changed me but with them standing there I am sure I could over ride the change :lol::lol::lol:

Sorry will go serious now.... Hope you feeling a bit better and leaving a sugar encrusted ((( ))) Cris xx

Oooh, a sugar-encrusted hug - yum-yum! Quite different! The temper has slightly improved thank you, thanks to increasing slightly the quantities of painkillers - I got fed up with the footling doses they tell you - I reckon it's like use sell-by dates, they lie to make you throw away stuff and buy more, there must be some leeway in these things. I've also (reluctantly) upped the steroids, back to 15mg. Right: the sofa beckons, it's MSW! DD

Hey DD, glad you had a somewhat better night last night and glad to hear that you have upped the pred - even if you do it only for a few days, any bit of relief will be welcome. My GP told me recently that it takes what he calls a "goodly dose" about 5 days to do its stuff, before its trying to cut down again.

Hope you are managing to sofa surf now - whats MSW?

    Love Tilly x
