So can't wait for this week to be over! Feel like everything is getting out of control and I don't like it! The tunnel is very dark no light to be seen yet!
I have very very very little money, I struggle to pay rent and bills nevermind for anything else. My job is dead ended, I've been there 5 yrs and had enough but have failed to get any other job so far, my wrist seems to have decided that it will join the rest of my painful aching joints my painful arch shoulder is not getting better and now on top of it all my car has decided to give up on me first the starter motor went so mon got it fixed cost £60 (so even more over my overdraft now) yesterday got towed home, my alternater has gone had to wait in all day today for mechanic so had to get cover for work (therefore missing out on much needed money) he didn't arrive til 5! most places close at 6 so he couldn't ring round for part gotta do it tomorrow now meaning i'm going to have to bus it to work takes an hr and a half as live in nottingham work in derby and costs a fortune!
won't get back til about 7:30 tomorrow, garage as with everywhere else it seems closes at 6.
hoping to god he's open sat otherwise I won't be getting my car and he won't be getting payment for 2 weeks as he goes away on sun!
when will this end? I desperately need something good to happen to me! don't think I could cope with anymore bad luck!
Rant over!

I must have done something awful in a previous life I just need a break!

Hi Lou,
This hasn't been a good week for you at all! Maybe it means next week will be good? Like you I always think things happen for a reason and I guess we are not meant to know why?
I really hope you can find another job and earn a better wage as well as get your wheels back. Cars... horrible things! They let you down when you least need it and they cost a fortune to repair even for the silliest of things. Sorry I am joining your rant....
Leaving you a ((((( ))))) and a hope next week will be better. Cris x0 -
Oh no, Lou, that IS a bad week.
Thinking of you

Wow thank you all so much for your support! Sorry for not being here today to answer you all. Been very busy tidying my parents house ready for their return then had to leave early to get the bus to work :x
Gonna answer all questions now. (Gotta love copy and paste, I've pasted the replies onto Word so I can answer everyone individually )
Rose: Yep definately pouring! He didn't have time to sort the car out today so still carless! Yep buses are a nightmare. I work at a schools out club so very busy at the moment. Can't afford to throw a sicky. Do feel better now I'm home, mum was nice enough to bring me back car needs to be up and running tomorrow as mechanic goes on hols on sun. I got a little green KA (the old style)
Joan: I hope it improves soon too. can't take any more bad luck!
B/Cham: Aww thats sweet. No all my workmates live in Derby, the only reason I work there is because I got the job whilst I was at uni there. finished uni moved back home but kept the job! He shouldn't rip me off, he knows the family and I've told him how much I am struggling for money. He was nice enough not to add labour charge to fixing my new starter on Mon. Hope things get better with you soon too!
Val: Thanks for the cake! ( just read the next reply along B/Cham how could you nick my cake!) i take the bus from a little town near the nottinghamshire derbyshire border. it takes about half hr (on a good day!) then I gotta either walk (when i'm on a good day) for half an hr. or take another bus!
B/Cham: I was up by that time but was busy tidying my parents house and putting a second load of washing on! I'm back home now and BF is here for the weekend so should be good
Toni: I really hope i'm in for a very very good run of luck! aww thanks for the hug chick. my hunk will be here tomorrow to give me a very big hug
Cris: No not a good week at all! I hope I find another job soon too No point looking at the moment as want a teaching assistant job and its the hols so none posted! No worries about joining the rant cars are silly things and if I didn't need it so much I would destroy the damn thing with a big mallet!!! Thanks for the hug!
Nina: Thanks for the thoughts!
Wow thats a long reply!

Life has a habit of getting worse before it gets better. The trouble is, one has no idea of how far worse can become. I hope that your worst has reached its limits and the upward turn begins to happen. It should do, all being equal. Hang on in there girl, things will improve. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh how I hope it does DD. don't think I can cope with anything else going wrong!

Oh Lou,
You have had a run of bad luck Lets hope you get your car sorted for tomorrow. I could not do without mine, it would take me over 2 hrs to get to work.
Fingers crossed things improve soon. There must be a new job coming your way soon.
Lv, Ix0 -
I NEED my car to be sorted out by tomorrow. I am not going to be able to cope with taking the bus everyday for the next 2 weeks especially now that I'm back home (Thanks to my mother bringing me back) it's even further away so would cost even more money!
Lou
-x-Just keep plodding along singing a song0 -
Well so much for getting my car back! He couldn't get one bolt off so its stuck in the garage til he gets back from his hols!
So I'm bus'ing it for 2 wks!

Ah, I took BF to mean boy-friend. Anyhoo, give that person a hug loupy! I am so sorry about your car - is this guy a one-man-band or is there someone else in the garage who could deal with it?DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Lol Toni the BF meant boyfriend not best friend not got a best friend really.
I gave him a very very big hug!
The guy works for himself so no-one to help him!

Morning loupylou, I hope you are coping OK with the bus etc. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I'm ok could be better though! Hate buses I'm leaving home at 11 to get to work for 1 and I'm not getting home til gone 7:30! I'm actually still in Derby waiting for the bus at the time i'm usually home!
Think the whole stress of the situation has flared up my psoriasis and has caused my wrist to join in with all the other aching painful joints.
Can't wait til I get my car back missing it so much!
Lou

Just popping in to say that I admire you for persevering even when you are getting all this tat thrown at you.
When I was a teenager, my Dad gave me a great piece of advice ..... make good friends with a car mechanic. He was right. I have a very good friend who is a mechanic and has helped me greatly over the years. It takes all the worry out of car trouble.
Can't remember who suggested it but I agree it is a great idea to keep all your receipts for travel and deduct it from the final bill. It shouldn't be made your problem him going on hols.
Like I have said many times, I believe things happen for a reason ESPECIALLY the bad stuff so good times will be right around the corner for you. So, remember to enter a win a car competition and the lottery this weekend
Good luck, Carol0 -
I seem to remember the AA fixed my alternater. It wouldnt start on the drive so I called them and they fixed it! I cant remember if we had to find a new alternater ourselves or they had a spare.
Of course you need AA cover already set up which is expensive and not top of the list.
We also have our friends car parked outside our house since Christmas, inherited from when his dad suddenly died. Live in London though but it feels such a waste when I hear stories like yours.
