    Hi Iris

Well done for getting through today and for achieving part 1 of the master plan - and getting started on part 2!

Sounds as if you have plans to make your enforced bed-rest as enjoyable as possible Iris which is good.

    Thinking of you.

Hi, I'm glad it's part 1 of the plan completed! Now, part 2, rest and relaxation! A chance to read and whatch the rubbish telly! You've done really well and been brave. The thought of it is enough for me to beg for sedation!!! I had a dental op once, a long time ago but, I do remember begging for a general anaesthetic!!!! I didn't get it.

Now take care and have a nice rest. Lots of love Sue xxxxx

Hi dorcas, I have returned from my wanderings and am checking in to see how things are going. I hope yesterday's duvet day helped, but I guess your knees are probably still sore. Oooooooh I can feel it too! On the other hand, the steroids might just have started to being some relief: I hope that is the case. Take care. DD

    Hi Iris,
I am sorry that you have to go to this unwelcome and unnecessary appointment tomorrow. All you need at the moment. I had the forlorn hope that your MP might have been able to put a stop to that one as well.
I do hope the knees are feeling a little better tonight and I know your next appointment is due for the infusion later this week. I wish things would come better for you as it has been a real tough year for you.
Hope the loons are being good. Oh, I have just found another member of the “Soon” family in the bathroom!!
Sending lots of hugs and fortitude your way.
    Love from, Ix

Very best wishes for today, it is a disgrace that you have to face this so soon after your aspiration - perhaps, with hindsight, you should have cancelled it - or even better do so now! :D Anyway, if you do go (and I am sure you will 'cos you is good like that) take care. You need to coddle those knees! DD

    Thanks DD, Ironic and Cris.

Well I hobbled my way to the office where my Pathways Interview was to be held.... only to find it shut! :x :x

After phoning and being put through to 4 different people I eventually got a return call from the person who was supposed to be interviewing me.

She said there'd been a 'clerical error' and I should have been asked to attend a different office as the local one was shut today (no kidding :? :x )

I was/ am livid. Annoyed with them for their bureaucratic ineptness ......and with myself for being stupid enough to go when my knees were still in agony.

I told her about the pain this fiasco had caused me and that I would be complaining through my MP. I also asked if the re-scheduled interview could be done by telephone or home visit as I was not prepared to put myself through this again...... she reluctantly agreed to a phone interview but said it was 'really against there procedures'. tough :x

Aghhhhh!!! what is wrong with these people.!!!

I'm off now to e-mail my MP..... I'm sure he'll be delighted. not.

Breathtaking. Absolutely breathtaking. I am fuming. FUMING. I know just how painful your knees are, I know exactly what that has cost you in terms of effort and pain. I AM LIVID. What a bunch of amateur, blockheaded, crass, dumb, erratic, flawed, ghastly, horrendous, inept, lazy, muddle-headed, newt-brained, officious, paltry, questionable, rubbish, stupid, twerpish, unintellligent and vexing people they are. Ooooohhhh Iris..... :x

What is wrong with these people, so they as well as being wooden, unfeeling and inept at their jobs cannot communicate either...Im bouncing off walls angry for you.......
And guys dont take this the wrong way and mods yes I know its naughty but double duck (use yer imagination folks)...their stoopid procedures about a phone interview...They must make the effort once in their well paid, pension guaranteed jobs......Id also whilst e-mailing MP think about contacting local newspaper....I dont know whats wrong with people nowadays......Most people without longstanding health issues turn under the duvet at the sniff of a cold they dont know what its like to be in pain such as Iris and others??? Bloody clueless!!!!

Im curently thumping the keyboard in anger......GRR!! Sol's that angry the beanies are coming out of his ears!!!

Look try and wind down, just sorry its happened....

    Big ugs n support...

I nearly had the entire alphabet! If any missing ones pop to mind I shall add them later. I do alphabet lists all the time, it takes my mind off things for a while. I spent ages in the wee small hours struggling with a kinds of fish list! - angler, blowfish, cod, dog, eel, flat, haddock, etc etc etc. Gave up in the end. DD

    Aw Iris,

How horrenduous! Hope you have had a few cups of tea by now to calm yourself down. You had to make the effort to get up early as well, despite getting yourself and your knees to this non appointment. It is disgraceful. Well, one under the belt for you . :) You won the day with them, didn't you? It will be a phone interview or nothing. Well ,yet another very negative point for your MP to add to the already long list.

    Hugs to you
    Elna x
The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
