My back is ok now thanks, I just twisted and turned so much when I was trying unsuccessfully to sleep in one of the hot rooms in the daytime, that’s why my back ached yesterday

BB never behaves himself - he’s still eating vast quantities of cheese - bread silly BB

LA feels he deserves a promotion, he enjoys the job of “grandson” I think this job is mainly eating and watching cartoons, but he said that soon he wants to become a “grandfather”, that that’s the better job lol, I guess that job entails mainly eating cheese- bread and sausage rolls lol -of the vegan variety of course - out of respect for Peppa and of course bossing people about as well as having an extra birthday, but who is on cake - licking duty this time? Riley is on a working holiday licking the rims of gingerbread latte cups in Dublin, so I guess it’s the phantom plumbers - oh dear.

Gosh Joan you have loads going on too!!! Good job the dryer has the extra cover on it. The rat man coming every five minutes. As well as probably needing the cladding redoing you have the kitchen units going in😣At least you can see in the loo now and can put the loo roll back on it's proper holder. The optician too? You never get a minute at yours atm. I didn't see how you could manage the dogs in town that's why you walked them first so you know they are ok while you're out👍️ Good plan did you buy anything exciting?

Morning Reshmi How are you and your Mum doing today?

I see how you did your back in - twisting is the worst thing you can do with backs. Mine will be ok I just need to rest a bit more I know what I do wrong. I had surgery many years ago for a fracture and some discs so it is a bit of a weak spot. As long as we keep warm, don't twist and try not to stand or sit in the same position fr too long we ought to be fine🤞

BB is being slightly naughty then bread and cheese one of Paul's and no doubt BIL's downfalls….

LA has gone of normal broccoli? That's shame its so good for us I love it. Tender-stem is rather nice though too for definite. He is getting close to being Grandad age but rather think 'Daddy' comes first does he realise that? When he has to go to work (alongside a Mummy) earn lots of money and look after children! Not get any sleep, have no money for himself, deal with tantrums and be subjected to cartoons on TV!!!!

The plumbers have been promoted though while Riley is away? How uncivilised of them to lick all the gingerbread men🤢 They really are naughty.

I hope you are reaping the reward of your patience having late cleaners in doing the housework?

Glad you enjoyed the gingerbread latte Sleek brought and the muffins in fact i believe she did originally buy 6 but 2 went en route - one to keep her energy levels up you understand and one for the catsi driver. You and Sleek had the vegan cream I hope that was ok only cat's aren't too good with lactose.

I am doing the onions in batches it is hard work so manky looking stained nails (looks like I smoke 40 a day!) for the foreseeable then it will be wreaths which means cold wet hands🙄 Made my own pickle spice though this year I am very proud of myself for that😊 Kari and I went to the farm shop yesterday and got more onions as well as some other bits there you do not get plastic at ALL!

Oh but I called into the pharmacist and he made me have my flu jab!! (still covid to go though) first time since the blood thinners so I have a nasty looking tiny tiny black bruise and bled like never before! Normally I don't ever need the plaster. Oh well such is life. Not great fun this getting older malarkey is it.

I think we have matching towels round our loo pipes!!!! WE'll get it sorted one day soon….ish😉….maybe😁

You'd think next door would be finished by now for sure he's had enough 'help'. I think they are having some outside work done too I do not like the sound of that either😣 We are indeed plagued we really are! What can we do though? Such is life I suppose. Por Kari has scaffolding up I think something to do with the roof/shared chimney🙄

Do you think a 40 minute drive is the best thing for us? I definitely don't. No parking spaces no public transport there - it's just infuriating if you ask me. I much preferred our old 'downgraded' District hospital. I don't know if you remember that group here in Stafford had that campaign against it? They started the whole downgrading business off with their compensation shenanigans. Ah well.

Shall i stop moaning now? I think I'd better. So the pusskin hotties are very pricey are hey? Better leave it then. I got Kari a lovely Sloth (she loves sloths) hand puppet for Christmas to annoy her son and DIL with😊hehe🤭 I think a Darcey hottie might upset her even with Mabel to keep her company now.

Hi all 👋 ooh that cold was a bit crippling today, wasn't really braced for it after yesterday. Not got a lot done mostly pick things up put things down lose things.. 🙄

Hope your day was ok frog, icy first thing I should definitely think, it was when I got the bins in much though I'd rather not have turned out. Straight back to bed I'm afraid no bravery. Flu jab for you, somewhat press-ganged by the sounds 😬, well done indeed and for staunching the flow 😣; one local chemist has a sign saying something like 'we are open for flu and covid' (just that, nothing about jabs) no thank you! More onions to go then oh dear, and wreaths, good of you to do these seasonal things for the village, and make your own spice sounds very nice 👍️ hope the shift-work batches mean it's not too bad going. Lovely to have the plastic-free shop 👍️ my last lot of bananas came with just a very sticky paper band round, bit of a drop in the ocean but it's something I guess. One muffin for Sleek and one for the driver, oh quite right too 😂. Yes the vegan cream was super, we shared 😺 (not out of the same cup, well not quite). Hope everyone well at the moment - Kari has scaffolding oh no 😱 there is some of that in my future too I fear, hope she's coping, is it the 'flashing' 😕. No idea how they are getting on next door, they knocked off a little earlier, can only think they are working through something ghastly room by room like electrics, but as there are only so many rooms there is a limit! No sign of any outdoor work. The hotties were around £30 the page I glanced at maybe less elsewhere but no a good old rubbery one for me and spend the extra on something else. Do you remember Alfred the leaky hot water bottle by any chance, from a kids' show called Johnson & friends, bet you do 😄 (I may have asked that before, can't remember). Hello Joan, the muffins were a flight of fancy that Sleek would bring some round when she calls, Toni 'sends' her to me via the coffee shop, but I am doing a little mini grocery top up shop soon and they will go on the (real) list. I have no idea about the neighbours really there are so many people in & out working etc some of them may be the tenants for all I know 🤷‍♀️ - I am not going to go out of my way to run into them and as it seems likely it will just be on a letting basis for now at least then any people may be short term anyway. Not long til your kitchen cupboards, hope it all goes well and the optician before that, have you had those ones before I expect so. I rather thought you might be due a MH visit this weekend it's been a few weeks since you've been and the boys will be missing you all. You must tell LA that his next level up will need to be as a Daddy or even a husband to be fair! That'll having him thinking!!! Will it be a visit to their house or maybe a meal out? Either can be a challenge but a meal out is easier in some respects you can chose something easier on the stomach if you are lucky.

I am going to a vegan market this morning so excited!!I expect the stalls are similar to the ones we have when it comes here so i can get my lunch out for sure😊 The gastric oracles will have their work out helping me today I think😣 It will be all my own fault so I'll send them over to you and Toady.

Morning Toady hope you are well and not so cold today. Wasn't it chilly!!! 5 degrees it said when I went to meet a friend for a cuppa on the way to the hospital to visit my lovely neighbour.

Of course I remember Johnson and friends! As for the poor leaky hottie Alfred I felt so sorry for him. I always feel sorry for the underdog me.

Kari is worried about the builders (roofers?) seeing in to her messy (arty messy but messy) house I expect. Feeling obligated to make them hot drinks that sort of thing. I hope you don't have to have them though please not! Rewiring next door maybe🤔 yes possibly. Sleek is still as you know 'watching' from her position in your window.

Today she is picking you both up an oat caramel macchiato (one of Aidan's favourites) so no cream and some sort of gingery Christmas cake. Veggie but not vegan.

My last lot of workhardo bananas (never ripened but we ate them anyway) were a very bright green and also wrapped in a piece of tape. Must be the latest thing. Best to be able to buy them in real life loose. Then you can chose from the 'oneies' that stupid people snap off of a bunch. Selfish aren't they people? For us being only me and Paul either 2 or 4 maximum and I prefer them ripe. Not green.

I am off to a vegan market where I will buy far too much food and have a bad belly later😂 Might be able to get some vegan cheese though for the fridge and some Christmas pressies and a decent cup of coffee😋

My cistern is still very slowly filling up and the towel needs changing daily. A bit like having a large ceramic baby to deal with. Yes i will pray to St Vincent Ferrer indeed I shall.

Hi everyone

My cats are British shorthair, Lilac ticked tabby & chocolate ticked tabby.

The next door neighbours baby seems to have settled but the father intends on waking it up when he crashes out at 3am every morning its bad enough him doing the recycling at 2.45am.

I'm still getting flare ups mostly in the morning or after long walks, stairs are still an issue gone back to using a cane to get about.

Hope your day was ok frog - chilly here yes but later on mostly, not such a cold start. Bit of sun but a bit begrudging. Your poor neighbour being bored 😔, of course she will be, hope the let-off from the iv antibiotics is not too far away on the horizon. She will have been pleased to see you. Hope you had a good time at the vegan market and had a nice coffee & just the right amount of food and ooh yes fun browsing pressies. Picking one's own bananas, those were the days, yes far better 😊 - though if I have too many and they are a bit ripe to begin with I bake with them as I've mentioned, my one nifty thing, saves worrying if they are green or no when bought. The macchiato was lovely thank you and warming gingery cake just ideal, I do love ginger a lot. Sleek is doing very good work at the window in 'Position A', though if she is gleaning anything from about 10 different cars in succession, I'm certainly not. Seem to have people in when they aren't there themselves, who knows who & for what, but it does seem to ensure there isn't a predictable quiet 5 minutes - trust me 🙄. Yes probable roofers 😣, I am truly hoping for divine and preferably feline intervention before then, if Sleek has any pull with 'Ernie'; as I really would like to be somewhere else anyway it would be great timing to jump ship before any more major repairs. Kari I heartily identify with as you know, do they even have to come in, at a pinch, can't she poke a cup of tea towards them & shut the door. Yes poor Alfred we do love an underdog and a cantankerous fusspot underdog so much the better 😄. Hello Joan, hope the dryer man came and went and made sense of the problem (and it wasn't major). I haven't had new glasses for ages but I only use them for tv and hardly watch it now, so they aren't vital. Apart from some supermarket ones if I need to thread a needle. Have a good Sunday, we had a sudden cloudburst here today just as I hung a jumper out, it can stay out there all night now it can't get any wetter 🤷‍♀️ 😄. Love to the dogs :) xx

I did eat quite naughtily yesterday because we went to a vegan food market in a nearby town. It was fabulous my freezer is full to the brim with vegan pies and bake to heat up whenever I can't be bothered to cook form scratch myself😋 I had cake yesterday though vegan blackforest, vegan upside down cake and finally lemon meringue. The latter is still in the fridge. You will be glad to know I am sharing with Paul.

I am very glad to hear you do not undertake your ablutions in the cold room. That would be awful.

In mine the loo is leaking far too much so we will need a plumber sooner than I had hoped - probably Monday or Tuesday and I am very busy on Monday out all day really. I hope yours is hanging on in there ATM.

Sleek has kept records of number plates and makes models of all vehicles. She is trying to establish patterns and likely relationships between the random seeming visitors from position A. Not a minute's peace she informs me with all the comings and goings🙄 She doesn't even know who Ernie is bless her she's too young. Having said that neither did Charley and Annie when they were here with Arya the other day! Do you do the lottery?

I also love ginger cake the one at costa packet is vegan, but I need to cake at all if you read my post to Bosh😣 I have been very greedy indeed the freezer is full to bursting😳 Not sure what you are having today I think it might be white hot chocolate and more ginger cake.

Yesterday's cats were very cool very good 'Mews brothers'! today's is a peace loving cat just reading the Sunday papers and drinking tea (or white hot chocolate).

Afternoon all ☕️ definitely a perpetual kettle day.

Really v cold again here frog but no rain hardly, in fact just 2 spells, when I scuttled out for a quick daytime walk (a few points for me there as I didn't really want to), and once when I risked putting out one item of washing haha. Not a fun walk, some new people moving into a house further up and either had a trade van outside (Sunday?) or those are the people, if anything cheers a neighbourhood up less than a nasty little van claiming it does every job under the sun, mostly in plastic ofc, it's a nasty little van with misspelled signage on it. (One day someone will come across my posts and join the dots, and I will drummed out of the street for defamation/libel/snobbery 😳😄). Talking of joining the dots, thank you Sleek for the careful research & monitoring next door, at this rate she will need one of those huge pinboards full of data with little strings connecting significant bits of info 😄. Nobody working today at any rate but tomorrow no doubt we are back to business as usual. Oh dear sorry about your worsening leak I will be trailing in behind you now for ticking plumbing off the list so I must get a move on. Ernie you get a move on too please. Did 'he' really come up in conversation the other day? fancy that. I do have a few bonds I suspect they have been 'filed' down the back of a radiator or something at HQ they never come up. Lottery very occasionally, I dare not more, nor really even let myself contemplate what it could do, it's always been an awful two-edged thing hasn't it knowing that money is 6 numbers away (or whatever it is now), and someone far more unsuitable than oneself will win 😉 seriously all the nice things you could do for good causes etc, it really ought to be me. Sigh. Perfect white hot choc and cake today thank you, glad you got some nice things yesterday and good to have things in the freezer 😊 I do like lemon meringue. Will be getting a mini shop tomorrow so my turn to get Sleek a treat. That cat is so wonderful isn't it, that expression, very gentleman's club. Hello Joan, yes I had glasses early on, they weren't nice at all then, pink plastic &c. I quite like mine now but I wish I had my close sight as good as it was, I'd rather see close than into the distance given the choice. Hi bosh, no MH meal then, well sorry about the reason for cancelling, but it gives you a spare gastric oracle favour in hand for another time I guess. Hope your mum has been ok as the day went on. Sorry to hear your Mum had a near hypo yesterday glad it got sorted quickly though and you you must be very kind to yourself with those dreadful peri M symptoms kicking off again. Hang on to the knowledge that it is only temporary annoyingly it can take a while and come and go, but you can do it ((())) Kari journals too does art ones sometimes writes stuff and then does art over the top so no-one else can read it. You have poetry she has art. Both can be so therapeutic.

There isn't much as sweet as Sleek asleep although I rather like seeing her ****-cat ears from behind too bless her. Cats are lactose intolerant so she can't have cow's milk, but she can have the vegan stuff. Not too much or the vet will have my guts!
