Hi all, well I felt better than I deserved today on a late night and not much sleep 😬

No I didn't come in purposely early yesterday as such frog it was just nice to be up and ahead of the game ☺️ even if things did go downhill after that 😂. I didn't really even get in the garden much but I did today, partly a case of having to, the weather looks horrid rest of week and strong winds by Fri & the weekend unless we're lucky 😔. Yes it was potting grit, I was right out, slowly being dispersed now into other containers 👍️. I hope your back let you get out today if it was nice 😣 that's not fair to make you miss some sunshine, what did you get done yesterday if at all? I was still mostly tidying, inspecting what bulbs are coming up &c. I have also revived 'tatty little cupboard' project, currently in the repair shop having bits of veneer patched, pics to follow probably - it's slightly shoved ahead of garden bench (a queue jumping cupboard! 😱), that's had 3 slats sanded too. Sleek and I had a nice quiet spell no beeps and tannoys here 🤭 you have ofc come to the right person for packets and jars, all sorts here 😂. Have a good day tomorrow and a night's sleep helps the back I hope 🤞 love to all 😘 xx

Hello Joan sorry I wasn't in properly. I love orange roses too 😊 the dahlia I just bought was for the colour, should be like this if I can look after it, it is just a bare root at the moment. I have an apricot rose it isn't doing too well not enough light I think. How lovely to have the magnolia 😊. Hi bosh, well done at the pictures I haven't even heard of the film, must look it up I am out of touch it seems owing to no littleys around exerting an influence 😄. I do remember T Bag though 👍️.I heard today that apparently the word nerd was coined by Dr Suess, I'm gla it's not a favourite word of mine I can never use it again I really don't like Dr S I find the books scary 😱😄. Morning Joan Hope you are well today? got on ok with the Fig it was just the wheel bearing, but also spotted a couple of oil leaks so I have to order the parts. The mechanic's sister has had a Fig for years so he is well-used to them😊 It was lovely to see the dogs although I have got a few extra bruises due to them being forced to wear muzzles and being a bit big. Oh and the blood thinners I'm on not the dogs' faults though.Take care ((())) xxx

Morning Skinny Keef Good news it was just a wheel bearing you were right to be optimistic! Front RT. So easily solved I just have to order the part from the Fig shop and the mechanic can do it easily. His sister has had (still has) Figs so he is well-used to working on them himself. Also found a couple of leaks (oil) which he will fix at the same time. Happy days. ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi how are you coping? Well done staying awake through the film I think I would have struggled myself! Was it any good and have you survived the takeaway nuggets? If you need glucozade then you must have glucozade.

I just about managed the trip to the garage with Penelope yesterday (see post to Skinny K for details - all good though) and feeding the birds. It was still icy here. Back is recovering it should do, but I won't actually help at the foodbank today just call in to see everyone. Most of my gardening so far is like yours - assessing what needs to be done and admiring my yellow crocuses in the front garden 😊 Grit is heavy I am sure relevant to my shoulder injury last year shovelling is stupid. Don't do it. and when you think you've pulled a muscle shovelling perhaps it's worse!

Poor bench🙄Pretty stoic and excepting benches though in my experience. They just sit there and wait😁

Hi folks 👋 another cold one 😬 I think it will be a day of many teas ☕️.

Oh thank goodness Sleek is going to help me with my cupboard frog, I am genuinely getting in one of my artistic twists with it, I will be very glad of the 2nd opinion 😸. And she will be glad of the baby and elf-less environment so it's a win all round 🤭. It really is cold today so I don't think any more than a bite sized bit will get done to any project tbh but sometimes you just have to tread water, and save yourself up for better weather etc. Much too much rain in the offing 😕. Pleased to hear the Fig has had a relative let-off and I hope all parts & fixes will work out 🤞. Nice to show your face at the food bank even if that's all, but sorry you can't get stuck into things 😔 I will be extra careful with the grit (galling though it is to know that someone is able to chuck that weight around fairly easily 🙄). Nipped out briefly see the birdies etc but that's about it, ooh lovely you have crocuses out, do I 🤔? Not sure yet, no yellows, anyway. Yes the bench will sit & wait 😂 but not for too long, I have promised it, have given it a tin of paint to consider in the meantime does it like the colour, that will give it something to think about. Hello Joan, yes the trouble is before I finish a project I have thought of another so it becomes too many on the go at once 😬. Too cold to go in the garage today really so that will curb me getting too many ideas. Hope your day is ok have you heard about your bloods? It is v cold here I have had to put another jumper on, I was just getting to manage without for a while there but too soon it seems. Just had a quick read through. Hope the head clears soon Stuart. I can sympathise. Had nearly 5 years of headaches, hopefully they coming to an end now.

I did Anda’s witch make up for halloween, but nothing as good as that. I can’t draw at all.

Toni, quite rare for a bearing to go in gearbox, they are clean and have plenty of oil. Wheel bearing not so much. Glad it’s an easy fix. I have to bleed the clutch on the KTM (orange one) as it hasn’t been used for two months and they don’t like that. Won’t disengage atm.

Right brain has forgotten rest of what i read. But hello to Toady and Dachshund and Jojo and hopefully I haven’t forgotton anyone. I am scared of posting after what happened last time if someone thinks I am ignoring them because I’m not. Feel free to give me a prod if I’ve left you out.

Elfie has had us smiling tonight look at him! Making use of Sleek's fur (from me brushing her). He was talking in a French accent too.

It was still nice to pop into the foodbank even if it was only briefly for a fruit tea and catch up. My back is recovering nicely so should be back on form by the weekend. I hope so I have a trip into Manchester booked for Monday on the train.

I know what you mean about everyone else being strong enough to do everything they want. Think though what trouble I caused (sort of) shovelling grit last year to my shoulder. We can do everything just more carefully and probably a lot slower.

Let's hope your bench is still thinking about the colour you are proposing they don't tend to make snap decisions😉. To be fair you can hardly paint just now we are due rain again🙄 It's clearly rained all night.

Sleek is thinking maybe a brick shed after the cupboard - I suggest not. Two utube videos is not enough to make her a brickie is it?
