Morning Skinny K exactly the NHS would have carried on fobbing you off they only go so far with tests. That was money (I'm sure you really couldn't afford) well-spent.

News so far about Pen: I have sourced a gearbox reconditioned if needed. We can take her to the best place (in Oxford), but they do charge the earth. Today I intend to look on the club site for local recommended garages. Oxford is still a fair way and I can only travel 40mph without 'the noise'.

I'm very glad you have the replacement guitar strings and we also got replacement photos for lucy so never fear. At the time we were all gutted. Aidan probably most of all. Lucy still loves David Emanuel and if she ever gets married wants to go there for her dress. Eeek! Better start saving now!

Hope all is well at yours. I have some 'good' news for us anyway. Elfie is waiting on at Sleek's do which I believe is happening this afternoon. I have been asked (nicely) if I will go out somewhere. Where I ask you? I accidentally got copied into Mabel's reply accepting her invite. Kari had to help her write it so it was probably deliberate. From what we surmise there are 7 cats going to be there. Elfie reckons he can manage on his own.

So is the garden a mess? Did they do what they were supposed to? Honestly Kari is being 'hounded' by the man who cuts her hedges/trees for her and she can't afford it till March, but she thinks he is short of work. If you lived a tiny bit nearer I'd send our bloke round he is lovely (has an unusual cough though) and just gets on with it so tidy too.

Yes thank goodness for those al fresco orders! Imagine being caught out completely! What a scary thought.😳

I really hope to have some time to myself today I need it that's for sure.🙄 Perhaps the garden while Sleek is entertaining?

Hi frogmorton my morning has been bad my dogs pulled me over at the park I hurt my knees and felt embarrassed when 2 people laughed at me I just feel crap and thinking I'm struggling to take them far on my own which is making me feel weak and more depressed than ever and one of my guinea pigs died last night my daughter didn't take it very well I hope you are well and your day is going better than mine.

 My mum takes folic acid with her RA pills & has stomach ache after taking it. Takes it in the evening after Tea.

It is worth checking to see if the folic acid is meant to be taken at the same time as the RA pills, I beleive that often it is pescribed to be taken at an interval after the RA pill. Your GP or pharmacy supplier would know the answer to this.

Hope you've had a good day frog, wherever you went to leave the place clear for Sleek 😄 Elfie in his Maître d' gear is fabulous, that's 'next level' as the kids say, so funny 🤭 I love it, thank you. Well I hope there will at least be a vol au vent or so left for thee & me, and not too many crumbs - at least the 'bill bryson' will take care of those. All quiet here today, yes being up & doing yesterday was the best bit of the tree experience pretty much, even then I was only at 'B minus' level for a quick 5 min al fresco, not the more advanced 'have to stand and talk to someone standards' 😂 (all in my mind of course 😉). Sorry about Kari's chap, oh dear bit awkward that 😔. No mess anyway, and any odd bits I tidied while doing a bit of weeding today 👍️ all hail good old daisy grubber. Not sure why it seemed acceptable gardening weather it can't be much warmer but it seemed tolerable. Lots to do soon I hope. Hello Joan, don't worry about me I could be living in a high rise block with no garden then I would have something to worry about. It was quite nice out today even though there was no sun, but I would like some soon 🤞 maybe a little tomorrow, then sleet overnight it says. Hi bosh well done getting the bloods out of the way I hope they are ok, glad no vampires. My jab was a bit sharp once it was in yesterday but that's very rare it even bothers me at all. Just picked an unlucky place, I could do with some more flesh I think 😄 maybe a few extra fairy cakes? Yes good question how large would a coffee cup have to get to 'flatten' you, and would it have to be a flat white? 😉Hope you were able to get to the cold room today if required and it was not ⛔️. Hmm SK am I the only one who took folic acid once a day 🤔 can't remember the dose offhand but just got this from nhs website "The usual dose for adults and children is 5mg once a week, on a different day of the week to your methotrexate. Some people take 1mg to 5mg once a day, apart from the day when they take their methotrexate." Maybe that explains why it didn't upset me, might be a thought for you and Stuart's mother (not sure if that is what she's already doing). Expensive maniacs 😂 yeah met a few of those. My blood test was an afternoon one, so it “flattened” the whole day unfortunately, but good to get it done 🙏

Mum found a bag of choccies when tidying up, I may have ate a bit more than Jane Austen did when she went to al fresco, but I threw the rest up to the top of the tasty food cupboard, as I call it, so all is well - ish

Must admit I persuaded grumpy dad to drive us to Wart - rose after the nhs leech - event and i consumed a cheese toastie, please don’t tell LA, but it did contain mushrooms of the iron rich but not hallucinogenic variety- I hope 😂😂
It was nice as I hadn’t been to WR for a long time

Mum stopped LA before he committed fraud and said if he wants a toy just ask and granny or mima and we will buy it for him, within reason of course, if he wants us to purchase a 20 foot golden elephant because he’s missing ETLB, that may be a bit much, regardless of the fact that such a toy (or possibly even creature haha) would be the ultimate “flattener”, ok I have to try and stop using that word haha

I had planned to do the mxt post - blood test but I was so tired and the folic acid - rich toastie beckoned so I’ll do it tomorrow 🤢

Morning Skinny K how are you today over your folic acid I hope? Is it 5mg? Do you take it bang in the middle of your main meal? I do that with anything likely to upset my delicate constitution! Poor Lucy she had MTX in the drip in vast quantities when she had leukaemia and no folic acid allowed. Well it worked anyway.

Good news the Fig and I are off to the garage on Tuesday afternoon for the chap to 'listen' to Penelope. He is a classic car specialist who has worked on Figs before. So fingers crossed he will be able to help. I've told him about the gearbox I've found online, but as it's a used part I have no idea whether it will be any good.

Not too expensive either fingers crossed.

Exactly just ready enough for al fresco not a whole lot of tree feeling outside. Ah well tis done and really good you can tick it off. A neighbour posted (on the village WhatsApp) the number of a really good tree surgeon excellent price too £200 for a few trees. Although mine rough and ready he may be is cheap and definitely cheerful quick and tidy so I'm keeping him.

Elfie loved his job yesterday apparently he donned a curly moustache too and spoke in a fake French accent to make the cats laugh. I have no idea I was sent out as you know. Garden it was didn't manage much but the wind had dropped so I agree it was much better. Also let the fire extinguisher man into the Church to do the annual checks. Elf and safety you know.

You had your daisy grubber out yesterday! Well done you I adore mine as you know last year's birthday pressie (chosen by myself) from Paul. The kids were horrified but it was what I wanted.

Sleek will be over with her Tupperware container full of leftovers for you (I had mine after my mushroom soup) . You'll be glad to know the tupperware is in fact glass goes in microwave fridge oven and freezer. No plastic involved. She is very careful with it so don't worry.

Elfie had the dustpan and brush out for any crumbs so all good no need to use the Bill Bryson at all😁
