Morning Joan how are you today? It's the end of March already! I bet Pepper loved the fields. I agree it's not at all muddy after recent drier days. Much nicer for our walks. We just have one permanent gush of water coming out of the ground through the village. It's been going on a yer or two no-one will accept responsibility for it though. Oh well. BB needs some exercise does he? Well he also needs some empathy and having to walk everywhere like you and your Mum do might just help a bit. A Merc? yup that sounds like Big Bear right enough!!! They are good cars I hope it can be fixed for him.

Funny you should say that about that healthy banana loaf because my friend used to give me banana bread at her house. Every time I left there I would be feeling awful and wondering why. It was vegan, but gosh nasty stuff. Yet I can eat bananas.

Baldi are doing vegan cheese they really are it's not bad but they had none honestly! and a lovely soya yoghurt blueberry flavoured. Hope a certain cheese monster was ok? LA is quite right you ae indeed the only unique and special Mima in your house! therefore 100% the best😊👍️

Morning Toady another frost here so another lovely day ahead I very much hope. 17 degrees it says! WOW!!

I got outside did some weeding yesterday it was Mother's day so a day of interruptions although I saw the girls and Arya on Saturday as it really is their first Mother's day so they needed not to be rushing over to see me.

I will plant seeds like mad today because they must be planted in March😯 The stress of it all😣

Ok I'll be Sarah Raven and you can be Carol K, your garden will be big enough for all of your cuttings and yes a shed/outbuilding to be proud of. Elfie and Paul will forgive you they can still watch 'Shed and Buried' bless them.

Do get some nasturtium going they can be planted into April so that's good plenty of time left yippee!!! Yes more ground cover was thinking in pots so i can pinch the odd flower head for our salads/soups. Time to get some Blue Pepe if you haven't got any. Remember Pepe was Sleek's love who died at oh 16 bless him and Aidan.

It was pretty chilly here this morning too - unusually so for Reading in the Riviera really but never mind

I seem to have caught a slight cold and am feeling a bit ookey from time to time

But it’s not exactly the end of the world so don’t worry

Sister baked some lovely chocolate chip cookies, there were also Indian desserts so a lot of indulgence, never mind don’t tell GI Joe Physio though of course

Yes thanks Toni, mum still gets tired of course and has lots of bad side effects to her meds but I’m also so glad that the diabetes is so much more well controlled now.👍👍

I gave mum a nice special tea cup and my sis got her flowers and the cookies she made.

LA had a big tantrum I’m not sure what about but eventually calmed down when presented with a chocolate biscuit- I wish life were as simple for us adulks haha

Hi all - just a quick line, I am not a happy bunny 🐰🙁 hung about nearly all day for the post to collect, took it to the local PO in the end as I wanted to go out (van still ended up calling, at half three 🙄). Anyway that's by the by, while I was waiting I sorted idly through some old junk mail and found a thing about more proposed local planning, if it's where I think it is and it gets through (and it will ofc), it will be hundreds of homes, affecting the open land where I go for walks, the last bit near me. The previous building work has just stopped being at the peak of the noise, this lot will be even nearer. I was just getting ahead of the game for a minute there with my own stuff and now this. I am speechless tbh and that is the last straw for me round here I am done with the place it has been nothing but hassle.

Sorry to moan frog I was just hit broadside by this 😒 and no real answer to it. Proper post soon I hope, love to everyone & hope you got a bit of weeding done, I may go out in the cool later and do a bit if poss. I also revisited the plant lady in the next street today and picked up a few things, not sure why really as it's like gardening on a sinking ship, but what can you do 🤷‍♀️. Yes last seeds day 😱 well I am using poetic/botanical licence with the calendar, can't be helped! Take care all 😘 xx

Quick hi to bosh, move over can I come in the igloo with you 😔 anything would be a change even somewhere cold it shows how fed up I am 🙄 maybe a centrally heated biccie cupboard wouldn't melt the ice if it was insulated well enough 🤪. Sadly a chocolate biccie does not cure all ills. Hope things are ok with you and the bit of cold is no more than that 🤞. Like Toni I loved the umbrella that's so clever someone should make one - and double like for the 'tea trap', that is just brilliant 😄. Btw on my way to town (muttering all the way) I passed the midnight phone box, there was an empty vodka bottle lying beside it, the poor thing has taken to drink apparently and I can't say I blame it 🤨. xx

No no no!!! Sleek came back shouting so I knew all about this stupid application before I saw your post. You must object. Everyone has the right to. Cite wildlife, the need for nature for existing residents. Suggest they look for 'brown sites' rather than some of the very scarce, and getting scarcer, areas of untainted land. Obviously you must mention disruption, the effect of already oversubscribed GP services and schools etc If it's likely to lead out onto a dangerous bend on the road/increase traffic issues that needs stating too. I think Sleek has already started to type.

I do not blame you for feeling like throwing in the towel😒. That is understandable. It's so difficult these days we have had a whole 12 months here while they built the new houses on the lane. Road closures, noise etc I wouldn't be happy as it's almost done if they started again.

You'll be glad to know I got the last of March's seeds in but some of the packets included April so they are going to wait a bit. I'm trying to plant seeds ready for the village plant sale as well as for me. Lovely of you to support that person selling plants from their house too 🤗
