    morning all. Finally got to sleep about 2am I think.

    I not due back with consultant till November Toni. But he always says not to leave it if I am bad, and he already knows I’ve had a rough time lately. My throat is swollen this morning as well. Polychondritis is a terrible disease once it gets a foothold I think. I did have a couple of sneaky Jaffa Cakes at the picnic and I know I can’t eat refined sugar in any shape or form.

    Hey Reshmi, Toady, Dachshund, Jojo and Stuart, and anyone else passing by our lovely little café.

    Thanks Jojo, managed to drag myself down to the park with Sucré as he wanted to play with his new cricket set. Played a bit but mostly just watched him and Loanda.

    You’ve got a good point there, tomato ketchup is often kept separately

    we had a new sofa delivered yesterday so mum was stressed about that too. It’s very nice. It’s a kind of Star Tr*k type sofa though lots of buttons for leg rests, backrests, that kind of thing

    when the littleys come here they love to lick the sofa like dogs, or cats of course, so I wonder what will happen when they visit next. I think Big Babu will get very angry indeed ha ha

    it is however always better to lick a sofa than a cake as Spock said when he was six years old on the planet Vulcan or something like that 😂

    yes tremors are nasty things I know from experience I don’t have the tremor problem now so much though

    But I did have done in the past though due to various meds

    I did have a nice veggie burger - centric take away, Thank you, for lunch, so that was good.

    I must admit I’m close to face planting again

    Night all, sorry to be awol, I have seen one census record too many and really need to get some sleep I think 😬

    I was awake early for the milk delivery too so not the full complement last night either, I suspect there will be early hours tea.

    The aforesaid milkman declined to bring me currant buns or bagels, bosh, so the carb side of bluecarb & mustard is very much in the minority at the moment 😄 to be honest I'm not sure why they advertize quite so many things that you seem to have a 50/50 chance of getting 🤷‍♀️. I think I need a touch of BR's commanding presence - 'milkman, currant buns please' 😁. Star Trek sofa sounds good 👍️ hope all its buttons behave themselves. Does it know what it is in for with the littleys, maybe best not, ignorance is bliss 😬. Have a good night, catch up properly soon 👋 xx

    Jojo, I am with you on that, living in the High St. noisy people a plenty here, fuelled by alcohol and weed, OMG the smell that wafted through our window twice just after 9pm as I laid in bed. Wow what a stinky as Sucré would say. And HOT! I took Sucré pj top off him as he was ‘too hot to fall asleep’ and just went in to check on him and he is freezing with no covers on so covered him up.
    and not too mention the boy racers rolling down the hill with their engines popping loudly on zero tbrottle the driving back up hooting all the way up rhe hill. Obviously will have ZERO police presence here, and don’t even ask for a traffic car anymore, virtually nonexistent, oh and our police station, (which used to have a sergeant and 4 pc’s plus a traffic motorcyclist & a car officer) is now a block of flats so no chance of getting said boy racers sorted out. Makes me very angry.

    Morning Joan you never go on!! I wouldn't be best pleased if the men blocked you access to the bins either especially if the droppings might mean they don't come back till that is sorted. I hope the injection in your back help you my ex MIL used to swear by them. Busy time ahead for you, but hopefully get some of your pain sorted out. You'll be sick of the Drs! ((())) xxx

    Morning Jojo how are you? Did you all enjoy the farm? I hate being hot at night so we have a little air conditioning machine to cool just the bedroom down.     How are you this beautiful day? hope it doesn't get too hot though. Hope your Mum is doing ok and BB isn't scowling too much even though his new sausage roll diet means he needs to. Whatever a man has to do to sustain his sleek figure….. slim Jim we should call him. If we dared😮

    Not me who has a strap on her sun hat no unfortunately, but the baby does otherwise it would be OFF! I wear a cap in the sun to protect my eyes a bit in the winter it's woolly hats mostly. I do have a bucket hat too I inherited that from Lucy. I use hair grips if I need to keep them on in the wind.

    Definitely WR has very very few toys Al fresco has a good selection. But how cheeky! Telling Granny to make him a 'popsicle'! LA indeed turning somewhat American too I see. Watching too much insta/tiktok/youtube young man. Did your Mum make it?

    Glad you enjoyed your veggie burger nice an healthy.

    A lovely new rather techie sofa eh? I hope it means you and your Mum can put your feet up? Perhaps the boys had better not lick the sofa. Was this advice given by a certain Riley perhaps?

    Have you ever tried a cooling pillow? I used to get them for lucy when she was on chemo. Just a thought or maybe a 'Bill Bryson' for by your bed. Also very good for hot flushes those chillows.

    Morning Skinny Keef awwww! Little Sucré was too hot to sleep and then he was chilly in his sleep. Good job Dadad checked on him.

    Those lads with their stupid popping cars like rice crispies snap crackle and pop! We don't have a local police station anymore either and what on earth is a police presence? Hmmmph! I still see lots of ex police houses in towns and villages but no police. They used to act as a deterrent didn't they?

    Oh no tempted by the jaffa cakes were you?😣 so tough. Maybe you should try to get an apt before November?

    We are off to Wheeler Dealers live in a bit in Bicester.

    Morning Toady the plant sale was lovely although I and another lady did most of the work because the main lady's cat was so poorly she needed to do an emergency vet run. Luckily it was nothing serious just a bad infection. A drip, some antibiotics and anti-sickness should sort her and she was able to pick her up later. I posted a pic before anyone arrived.

    I had brought with me those lovely purple alliums my friend bought me? I started them off they were a great size, close to flowering I hope, and some geums. One of the foster Dads bought them.

    There was also plenty of tea and cake of course😊 I'll let you know how much was raised when I find out the final figure. In the photo you can see the jigsaws at the back also on sale. A fair few went. I bought some winter flowering jasmine and something unspecified which flowers late always good😉

    Yes speed dial trust me😂 hope you can get outside past the ladders. Got some great watering cans from 🐝 and queue a bit back Toady, plastic yes, but they hold a lot and the handles are really comfortable.

    You'd think unusual names would be helpful but not this time? Still I bet it's really interesting.

    Sleek is coming over because we are going to wheeler Dealers love (Elfie and Paul love that program) and she is not at all interested in 'That sawt ov rub-bish'. We are taking the motorhome as the fault on the fridge did not show when the repair man came. Hopefully it will happen when we are driving along. Paws crossed. Think of me today….One man went to mow….

    Morning frogmorton yeah it was hot last night I tossed and turned went to the toilet about 10 times very uncomfortable luckily the eye drops have helped my eyes I'm having a lot more cloudy vision days which sucks. I'm sure I will plod on though work today I will be glad when it's over. I hope you are well and I hope you have a great day.

    Mums ok 👍

    They had a nice time at the wedding thanks

    I slept well in the end, but only by going to the cold room early in the morning

    Dad made a lot of noise at midnight when they returned

    Also when trying to take off mums necklace, he pulled on it too hard when they returned and mum screamed so I helped her take it off

    So hot night plus BB’s “shenanigans” - well thank goodness for the cold room 👍

    I think you’re right Riley may have taught the kids a class in “Communal food and household objects you should never lick (unless you’ve run out of cheese sandwiches” - or something like that 😂

    I wrote this little poem inspired by the new sofa

    Granny once ordered a very special chair
    It had an armrest here, a backrest there
    And special buttons to make chair - parts move, like in outer space
    The littleys loved it, it was their favourite place
    Such a wonderful chair with magical traits
    A place to eat blueberry (carb) muffins and mustard with all their little mates
    But licking the armchair was the best of all the treats
    Almost as much fun as soaking it in the burning hot sauce that bill put on his meats
    But please don’t tell BB about the spit - based marinade
    He’ll make you play on another chair and drink all your lemonade

    Morning all - didn't we have a mixed night, not one great one among us it looks like 😒. I was awake once but couldn't muster myself to get tea, then at 4am when I was well off someone's car alarm went 🙄

    Yes the family history is very interesting indeed frog, especially when you find a 'lead' (I've done a bit to mine on & off), but hard when you get stuck and it's every bit as tiring as I thought it would be 🙄 how do people do this stuff all day at records offices, not to mention an elderly aunt of mine who spent hours going round archives in person 😒. Well it's a start and they can tell me what they want me to focus on. Older census records would be an enormous help but they just aren't there. Glad the sale went well it all looks nice 😊 I hope your late-flowering thing does well. Very sorry for the poor lady and her cat I hope it's responding well 🤞. Hope you and Paul are having a good day at the live show, Sleek and I have been poring over fashion magazines and the celebrity news pages online too, not a vehicle in sight 👍️. Kind of her to bring some plant sale cake 😊 and we had tea from my 2nd best teapot as it turns out my new one dribbles 😣. Did Elfie manage to get any show 'merch'? It is windy again here which is rather irritating but should tail off a bit tomorrow I hope. Love to all 😘 xx

    Hello Joan, yes it's a bit daft to be in the position of wanting rain when I spend most of my time hoping there isn't any! but can't be helped, we won't get anywhere til we know. Should be some Tues but mostly overnight from Mon I think might not be enough. The loft gets very warm in the summer too so anything will dry out much quicker. Hope you have had a good day yourself and will hear something about the work tomorrow I hope 😘 xx

    Sorry about your noisy neighbourhood SK some of it is just selfishness, well most if you ask me, I just want to do the same to all the noisy people when they least feel like it themselves 😠.     At the wedding apparently LA told someone “ There’s no need to tell me that I’m a clever boy, I already know that” haha - no false modesty there then 😂

    By the way, I read some old but funny news about Wart - Rose, an elderly lady bought a seeded loaf, but decided there were too many seeds on it and returned it to the shop and received a refund haha

    This led me to wonder about other refund situations, for example, if I bought a cheese sandwich from Wart Rose and it was imperfectly made maybe I could get a refund or an exchange rather- as many packets of cinnamon porridge or that you can eat all that, more accurately ha ha

    Morning Joan how are you and Pepper? All is well here the sun is shining the sky is blue hope it stays that way. Wheeler Dealers did have an auction lots of different stalls and a very special 3 minutes' silence one for each of the people who died in the fire there on 15th May. Two were fire fighters one worked there. Very emotional😕 Take care ((())) xxx

    Morning Jojo I am so glad that at least your eyes feel much better. I use hylo now for mine it's really good. It is so hot at night at the moment which really doesn't help because once you're awake if yo're like me you need a wee then a drink and so it begins again🙄 Are the children back in school today or is it teacher training for them?     Morning Reshmi how are you today? I think it might be warm, but possibly rain tomorrow hope not too early as I am doing the race (in my case walk) for life with Lucy, Kari and my friend and it's not till 7pm.

    I loved the new poem! Very good you are really so clever. I do hope the boys don't lick BB's new sofa I don't think that would go down well at all. The little boy pic was spot on too to go with it.

    Midnight?! Honestly! Making a racket at that time? and virtually strangling your Mum too with her necklace good job you were there to help. At least that meant you had a good break on your own though before then.

    You are so fortunate to have a cold room, I think at this time of year. I might have to see if I can do anything with the basement here🤔

    I think my brain would rattle with all that stuff going on in it doing searches I would struggle to sleep I would see family trees and census records in front of my eyes! Still it must also be exciting when you get a lead and find more and more people too.

    Feeling sad today as I am taking my fishy over to the aquatics place. Do you think they'll let me know when she gets a new home? I'll ask.

    Elfie had a great time yesterday singing along to the radio and then scampering off on his own. He runs under the cars really fast got a selfie with two of the main characters off his telly programme. Came back covered in ice cream. Luckily he didn't buy anything at the auction because he had Sleek's debit card!

    She reckons she had the best day at yours nice and peaceful and is now planning to look at her own family tree bless her. She reckons the cake was rather dee-lite-full and the 2nd best teapot did a great job. BTW I liked her nails you did a good job pink is definitely her colour.

    Toady (()) have a good day. Yesterday the children in the house at the bottom of my garden the screaming especially one little girl her mother kept telling her to calm down.I wouldn’t grumble because pepper goes out and barks and nobody’s said anything.
